Congrats on the new TV..

I have a fairly new TV as well, not 4K, but when asked about HL and I too thought the graphics look very good. Well at least I know now I'm not the only one who's crazy.

Congrats on the new set! Pics!
I had a 1080p DLP that was 8 years old so not sure why it changed so much but I'm happy.

When I went back to BF4 this week after playing Hardline the night before I immediately noticed sharper graphics I believed.

I'd have to compare them to be exactly sure, but I just happened to feel like I noticed a fairly big difference when I went back to BF4.

But it could just be a different design aspect as well and not just graphics.

But to me Hardline seems to have a "haze" or "blur" about it with dark tones, where BF4 is seems more crisp with sharper edges and brighter, more vibrant maps.

I've probably not played all the maps on Hardline.

Hardline reminded me of the Close Quarters DLC with some of the maps btw.

Also I seemed to notice some weird aim assist buggies or something where my gun was not going where I aimed it.

I've barely played the game though.

Curious to see if Best Buy lowers the price this weekend to where I could get some $ refunded to me, as I still have not returned it yet. That way I might keep it a little longer. I might want to try the campaign since the first mission I did seemed okay. But I'm not much of a campaign guy.

So...you're absolutely sure you noticed a difference, maybe???

Both games look good to me now. I'm still baffled why certain Hardline maps looked bad on my old tv but whatever. Think I'm gonna catch Hardline on sale and buy it. Probably wont be anytime soon. Think my buy point is $30 since I'm renting anyway. I'll do digital if its a good enough sale but doubt thats happening soon.

It was my quick opinion on a "audio / video science" forum in which I have no current proof to what the differences that I noticed might be.

I went on to describe what could be possibly affecting my perception between the two games' graphics.

Of course I may not have all the settings exactly the same for both games, especially brightness.

IDK, what do you think between the two games?

Shouldn't Hardline have better graphics considering BF4 arrived at the launch of PS4 and Hardline arrived a full year and a half later?

But it doesn't...right? And initially, to me, Hardline just seemed duller most of the time or something along those lines.

I'm sure if I play Hardline again I will be able to have a better opinion of the graphics between the two games, but currently I've not spent too much time with Hardline.

I wish my DLP still worked so I could take a picture. Hardline looked seriously bad on that TV. Well let me say the Glades map looked atrocious where the city maps looked like BF4. It was noticeably bad. Now, with this 4k set both games look about the same. I'd probably give a slight nod to Hardline now though. I tried BF4 today on Silk Road and it had amazing detail as well but that was the only map I tried. So my verdict is your display can make a huge difference. Why I don't quite get. The picture should be the same for every device. What I mean is its all PS4 so its all the same back end. I'm not running a high end nvidia card like a PC. All I changed was TV and Hardline looked much better on the worst looking map. Its just remarkable. A friend of mine always said his plasma was magically better than what he saw from LCDs which I always cried bs but I'm seeing this with my own eyes.

They should market that tv to xbone owners... they could use some of that 4K secret sauce graphic magic.
