Get this to set up your TV:
http://www.amazon.com/Disney-WOW-World-Wonder-Blu-ray/dp/B0045ASBLG

1080p is fine
PS Smoothing only affects PS1/2 games

Buy a calibration BluRay like I posted and calibrate your TV. Anything else is guessing.

What you are experiencing is, most likely, not related to your TVs settings, though turning down sharpness and turning off any edge enhance features on your TV will help. Unfortunately, you won't be able to get rid of the jaginess you are seeing, mainly because that's just how the game is. After all, the PS3 is 7 years old.

As I've already stated, there is nothing you can do to get rid of them entirely but adjusting and/or calibrating your TV will help to minimize them.

I would suggest using test patterns from this very site here. If you download the MP4 version, you can put the basic test patterns on a flash drive and view them on your PS3. Also be sure to read the patterns manual so you know what you are looking at.

And just for reference, since every TV is different, someone else's settings will likely not work on your set, even if they have the same model.
