I loved this game on PC. Was totally surprised at how good it was. If the PS4 version is comparable graphically you're in for a treat because the PC version was stunning. For me it was the best TR game ever and I have played them all.

PS3 version was pretty stunning as well. CD made a pretty good engine that scaled well to all platforms.

They made it sound like some enhancements/additions were added, but were mum on the details. Hopefully it's not just marketing double speak.

This is my concern as well. While I thought the developers did a good job of rebooting the franchise I have no interest in art books or making of videos and bumping up the resolution to 1080p will not be enough either. Unless there are some meaty additions to the main campaign I don't see how this would be worth a full $60 pricetag.

For 60 bucks, it's the Definitive Ripoff Edition.

500 gigs FTW.

60 bucks? That's like charging 40 bucks for angry birds. Good luck with that. I'll stick to the already excellent PC version.

I agree that it is over priced, but at the same time, I want to support the concept. (Just like I did with the God of War HD collection, I had no interest in replaying them but I was curious as to how they would improve)

I really hope this opens the flood gates for more quick ports to pad out the early years for these consoles.

I just picked this up on the 360 for $15.00 but haven't played it yet. There is no chance I'd pay $60 for this game...

Wasn't the PC version of this $8 recently ?

That's what makes these new consoles so hard for me to deal with. I luckily got the games that I got for $41.50 each, just because I caught them during the Target B2G1, but there isn't going to be another B2G1 deal like that for a LONG time, so I'm not sure how the heck I'm going to buy my next games, because I'm allergic to paying $65 for video games. Steam has spoiled me too much. I guess if Infamous gets a ton of 9's, I probably won't be able to help myself, but other than that, I just can't see it.

I could have bought the PC version for $8 I think, but my PC was built in 2010. Not sure if it could keep up with that game (GTX 560 Ti). But to pay $60 for this ? Get the F out of here with that ...

Your PC could have played it on higher settings at 1080p. This new version would beat it but not by much based on the trailer.

Once the big games start hitting it will get easier to wait for sales, but during the early months of a console, that drought makes us thirsty...

You won't be able to max out every game but a 560ti (assuming similar level components throughout) should be able to play any game out there with ease.

Already seeing many of the launch games, on both consoles, for $40 on CL.

My cousin bought Killzone for $40 a week after launch.

I guess I just have a different opinion, I really have no interest in re-buying last gen games just because they have a fresh coat of paint, especially if these dumb publishers are going to charge $60 for them. Even if it was $40 I wouldn't buy Tomb Raider again, I've played it and fancier hair is not worth the price IMO. I might consider buying some last gen ports at $20, but that's my limit.

The now less-than/albeit-formerly-definitive Tomb Raider bundle will be on sale this week for $13.49 for Plus members and $14.99 for non-members. For some odd reason, this bundle also includes the PSN game Quantum Conundrum along with the various TR map, skin, etc., DLCs.

They're just soaking people that need, need, need it now. It'll drop faster than the first last gen print did, just watch.

And that's fine by me. It is worth $60 for someone new to it or a huge fan that needs it right away IMO.

I'm fine with slippery pricing that better matches demand to time on the market., since it's more money in their pocket, and means I'll pick it up for $15 sealed new eventually.

But, if you have a Steam ID, then I'm assuming you have some type of gaming rig, and if that's the case, why not buy it for 5 bucks on a Steam sale or something ?

Is it just the idea of having another game to slap into your PS4 ? If that's the case, I get it, because I find myself contemplating the same type of thing once the price dramatically drops.

I would consider it if it had a 3d option.
But to not add this (or promise a patch for this or the PS3 version) makes no sense, especially since it is 3d on the PC.

Looks to include DLC (assuming all of it)

Also there is a PS3/360 GOTY coming too (http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2013/12/09/tomb-raider-game-of-the-year-edition-revealed-for-ps3-xbox-360-releases-january-28th/)

So your torch(controller) will cause real reflections on your glossy plasma? biggrin.gif

I don't think I'll be buying but I enjoyed it on the PS3, though I think I need to finish it still as I'm probably right at the end somewhere.

Unfortunately the DLC was all multiplayer-centric and there were no additional single player/campaign DLC additions.

3d requires roughly twice the power in many areas. It isn't as simply as adding it on pc where you don't have to account for this.

Not always. They can always half the rendered game as they did with many ps3 games.

Not a optimal situation, but 3d tends to take the focus away on the flaws of doing so

They could also do numerous other things like the methods like crysis 2, 3 and GOW3 used. The ps4 doesn't have enough power to run this at pc max settings at 1080p and in 3d though so there would have to be compromise.
