Back at E3 Titanfall won a massive amount of awards, which really puzzled me because it did not qualify for any of them. (A requirement was it had to be playable at the show, and it was never shown in a playable form) It was suddenly the greatest thing ever according to every media outlet that had no proof that anyone had played it. All we have is the word of EA, Microsoft and the gaming press. All sources that are more than happy to deal with money hats and manufactured hype, which is exactly what Titanfall has felt like, manufactured hype.
It was months later that the public got their hands on the PC version, and impressions were solid, but nothing like the hype train from E3. The whole thing just feels off because of how events have transpired.
Add in that EA is involved, and I am very worried for the launch, every game they have been involved in has been a mess at launch and with Titanfall being multiplayer only, it is easy to be worried.
