Expected Q2 2014. Sounds like we'll get a nice buttery framerate as well. I hope they have a demo.

Sniper Elite 3 is an unspectacular and shamelessly entertaining sequel

Looks pretty cool.

I've just got such a full plate right now, that I think I'm gonna hold off on this. Maybe get it on discount later.

You can watch folks play this already on Playstation Live. Doesn't look like the demo either.

Warning: I make a lot of mistakes but occasionally I learn from them!

I picked this up today since I had wallet money just staring at me saying "spend me, you know you want to". It was leftover from a free $50 gift card I got with my Sony points so I figured why not. So far I am enjoying it. The thing I love most though, 3D!!!! I am loving the 3D on the games so far. That alone is selling me on the game. I didn't know it was an option until the PS4 asked me to enter my TV size for the 3D. The bullet cam is a cool effect with the x-ray of the person exploding. I will see as I get further how it plays out.

Ill be honest I have no idea if its considered real or not, this is the 2nd game I have played with 3D. I think its a cool effect for games. When the PS4 asked me to adjust my TV setting size for 3D I wasn't sure if it was for the game or just in general. When I went to the options I noticed the Stereoscopic 3D option and I turned it on and threw on my Terminator glasses.

When I view through the scope in 3D I have to close one eye or I see double vision on the crosshairs. Not sure if that is intended or just a 3D glitch. Its only the crosshairs through the scope that do it. Any non scope crosshair is just fine so maybe it is intended.

I went to try multi but I kept getting booted out of the game so I gave up.

Sounds like it was intended, and a pretty neat feature. As realistic as it sounds however I'm not sure if the novelty will wear off. Let us know!

I watched a few videos and the AI looks like it has the brainpower of a dead ant. I'll just continue to wait for the next Splinter Cell. Or maybe MGS 5 will come out sooner than next decade. Who knows.

500 gigs FTW.

Other than the over the top, super violent bullet penetration deaths, is there actually a story to this game? I haven't looked too far into it, but it seems like the main selling point of this game is the violence. I'm not against gratuitous violence at all, but if that's all there is to the game, sounds like a waste of $50.

Sorry but that is not how it looks on the Xbox One. Did he download the patch that fixed a lot of things? Did he turn on or off vsync in the options, which makes a huge difference. The article doesn't mention anything. I don't think he did either of these because on the One it looks stunning. Probably better on the PS4 but nowhere near the quality shown in this video. They should download the patch and try the vsync off/on and then re-test.

The tearing on the One version pre-patch is unacceptable by any standards. Even so, enabling vsync means it'll never go above 30fps, giving the PS4 a bigger advantage here.

I don't know if I'd call this game stunning though. Vibrant and detailed? Yes, but it still has that "I was dumbed down for last gen" look to it. I can't wait until we get current gen/PC only games.

The patch fixed most the screen tearing so vsync isn't really even required.

I didn't know that. Good that it's not needed.

In talking about this game over the past couple days, I caved and bought it. Hopefully I'll enjoy it.

I played some campaign coop with a friend last night. What a blast! We kept taking turns distracting guards while the other person would sneak up behind them and silently take them out. Tagging is great for coop as well because both of you can see tagged items and enemies.

So far the game has impressed me, though it's definitely buggy. My friend couldn't get down from a sniper nest because there was no button prompt to do so on his screen. I had to push forward to a cutscene so he would spawn next to me.

The other issue I ran into was that my gun sometimes seems to get a shot off when exiting the pause menu, thus revealing my location to enemies and causing them to go into alert mode. At first I thought that maybe my finger was resting too heavily on R2, but it happened a couple times when my finger wasn't in the trigger.

Other than that, I don't have many complaints. The game looks great, controls well and sounds decent. If the can fix the small issues then it would be even better.
