Has this been confirmed or is this old news?

aaronwt 06-06-2014 03:25 PM

When is it supposed to be out for the PS4/XBOne?

Smigro 06-10-2014 03:27 PM

I'll just leave these here.

another thing I noticed is they are increasing pedestrian and vehicle density. Notice in a couple of the scenes there is a TON of traffic on the freeway and in Franklin's neighborhood it is a very busy street. Granted this could all be just for show, but hopeful it is legit.

Also note that water visuals got ramped up

I will buy this Day One and do another playthrough. Looks freakin' stunning. THIS is why I bought next gen.

rolltide1017 06-10-2014 11:12 PM

Man, I thought it looked good on the 360, the next gen version looks even better.

I noticed the heavier traffic in the trailer as well, hope that is true because at times it felt like the city was almost empty on the 360.

PENDRAG0ON 06-10-2014 11:40 PM

Glad I held off on this one, day one buy.

Leo_Ames 06-12-2014 10:12 PM

I hope they include Xbox 1 style MP3 support. I loved being able to switch the radio to my own music on GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas on the original Xbox. Losing that the next generation was a big step backwards.

aaronwt 06-12-2014 10:18 PM

So have they announced a release date yet?

Only Fall 2014...so after August? Based on how busy October is, be nice if this drops closer to Turkey day weekend, but I wouldn't be surprised if it comes in Sep-Oct

Well, Sony would have to update the PS4 to support MP3 playback for that to happen.

Unlikely that they'll give it back due to them adding music unlimited which took the place and function of your own music. Hopefully they give us a choice at least

Man, this game would have been perfect during the doldrums of Summer. Fall is too crowded for a time sink like this imo.

But then again, I'm not a huge GTA guy, so I totally understand how this game would be a dream come true for big-time GTA fans.

DarrellG 06-13-2014 10:33 AM

I only got to 20% on my PS3 playthrough.

Dammit, looks like I have to trade it in.

tgable 06-13-2014 12:43 PM

I traded in my PS3 version, knew this was coming.

Epyon415 06-13-2014 12:53 PM

So if I am reading/understanding things correctly...if you have the game on 360 (and PS3) you can import your online save content to the PS4 version? Anyone know if the same applies to X1 or did Sony whoo Take Two/Rockstar for this feature?

I would imagine it would as I would assume all of your progress is saved on the R* servers via the Social Club...don't quote me on that though. :D

Crash44 06-13-2014 02:44 PM

Just traded my PS3 version back to amazon. I play regular with a friend on the opposite coast, so the time away should make me appreciate the upgrade even more. Just like Red Dead Redemption, this was a game that already had me stopping just to look at a cool bit of scenery or amazing sunset. i see lots of idle time in my future.:)

Didn't they already say that was the plan to bring that and media streaming back?

rolltide1017 06-13-2014 09:24 PM

Yea, they said that before the launch last November and nothing since. For all we know it could be years before they add it back.

Wow those comparison shots look pretty incredible. I'm kinda glad to see them re-releasing it because it's nice to see what their vision could be with better hardware. The amount of pedestrian and car traffic is worth it alone. Amazing and a day one purchase for me.

Epyon415 06-16-2014 02:37 PM

Hmm looks like a lot of improvements for the environment and object models, but it looks like the characters didn't see much/any improvement? Maybe R* hasn't gotten around to it, or that trailer is dated in terms of current progress??

Either way Los Santos and Blaine County are going to be enjoyable again!

aaronwt 06-16-2014 05:30 PM

It looked like every scene had alot more traffic in the PS4 version compared to the PS3 version. It was a night and day difference between the amount of vehicles.

Smigro 06-17-2014 02:47 PM

As with most here...I cannot wait to play this game again. I just hope they open up the GTAO world a little bit. Imagine if we could.

1. go off shore fishing with friends
2. go bowling
3. play pool at a bar
4. bet on horses at the track
5. play card games at the casino
6. entice a riot at the prison

The list goes on.

rolltide1017 08-10-2014 05:47 PM

Has anyone heard anything else about this since E3? I'm just surprised we don't even have a release date yet.

blklightning 08-11-2014 04:25 AM

But did they fix the unstoppable Terminator cops. If they didn't fix that, then f this game. I regret buying the PS3 version because the cops ruin all the fun. Crazy because before this game, GTA was by far my favorite game series of all time.

The few weeks I had it with the 360, the cops seemed to easy to evade. I just had to go on the railroad tracks and into a tunnel and they were gone. I hope they have fixed that issue.
