Can someone help me connect a PS3 to a receiver and to a PC monitor? The PS3 only has one HDMI output. My receiver is a Denon 1713. I guess I would connect my PC monitor to the PS3 via HDMI to get 1080, but then how would I connect the PS3 to the receiver to get sound?

You need two HDMI cables. PS3 > HDMI OUT > Receiver HDMI Input then Receiver HDMI OUT > Monitor HDMI Input

So I would connect the PC monitor AND the PS3 to the receiver?

Hello. I have familiar problem

I have a setup up that was work with PS3 but not PS4 because I believe PS4 is using HDMI 1.4 that my splitter only support 1.3 and my receiver don't have 3D.

My setup is PS3(4) to HDMI Splitter to receiver and monitor with HDMI to DVI-D.

What I found is if I connect my PS4 to receiver it will give me sound. But my receiver doesn't support HDMI to DVI-D. So I don't have any video signal.

What else can I do to have 1080p on my monitor without a new splitter? My monitor have RCA and D-sub.

Does your receiver have a HDMI out in the back?
