Developed by Sumo Digital and Sony XDEV Europe rather than Media Molecule.

Now they just need pink DS4 so my girlfriend can play LBP3 with the pink controller like she did with LBP2 tongue.gif

The release date is November 14. Pre-order bonuses are costumes for Sackboy and his friends; Dragon Age costumes will be available from all retailers, while additional costumes are retailer specific.

Hope the PS4 release isn't only a PS3 with better texture :(

Now I'm trying to find where to pre-order (if I pre-order) for the nicer costumes :D

-In LittleBigPlanet 3 you get to play with all the characters at different times through the story.
-Toggle is one of the new characters and he’s very physical. He opens up a lot of gameplay possibilities with his unique abilities.
-When Toggle is big he’s very strong and heavy. He can activate springs and platforms and he sinks in water.
-When you “toggle” Toggle to make him small he’s a lot quicker and can fit through gaps.
-All the characters have unique abilities, and creators in the community can completely change them and take them even further.
-Swoop can fly and swoop (obviously), he can pick up objects and even other characters, furthering cooperation in multiplayer. You can customize him and change him into a dragon, you can make him breathe fire and much more.
-Oddsock is the first four legged character in the series and he’s really fast and dynamic. He can jump and slide and in create mode you can make Sackboy ride him opening up more possibilities.
-The new characters allow creators to build many more kinds of experiences compared to the previous installments of the franchise.
-Creating LittleBigPlanet 3 was “definitely challenging.” The developers looked at what people tried to do (even with glitches) in the previous games and added new features to allow them to achieve those effects properly.
-There are 16 layers instead of the previous three. This means that people can create levels with a lot more depth.
-You’re not limited by the thermometer anymore as you can stitch level together, so you can have levels as big as you want.
-In LBP 3 you can do every single thing you could do in previous games, but there are over sixty new tools.
-PS4 and PS3 versions are fully compatible, so you’ll be able to play all the levels regardless of the platform they have been created on.
-The game “absolutely looks best on PS4″ in 1080p and with graphical improvements. In Create Mode you can use the DualShock 4′s touch pad, making it much more accessible and tactile. The PS4 version also has some very cool video features, including the ability to create “Mini-trailers” for your levels, allowing people to find the best ones with more ease. Share and Twitch broadcasting will be used as well, even if no more details were given for the moment.

Sounds good to me!

It's been overshadowed by the other big games, but LittleBigPlanet 3 is coming out next week, too. Here's a video demonstrating Create Mode feature like the increased number of layers, customizable animations for the characters, and the ability to design your own power-ups:

I'm getting a copy of this for under the tree. My girls would love to play this with me. Reason enough for me.

anthonycm 11-14-2014 01:03 PM

I'm not a huge fan of LBP, but I'll admit it's a nice distraction from the first person shooters I normally get. Maybe I'll pick it up if there's a sale.

Is it exponentially better, in your opinions, if you're playing co-op?

If your co-op partners are kids, or adults with a child-like sense of whimsy, yes.

I have my digital copy on pre-order for the same reason.

Out of all the games coming Tuesday, this is the one I want most. Can't wait until it downloads.

raleigh29 11-17-2014 10:06 AM

Me and the Kids will be all over this

lordxar5 11-17-2014 10:00 PM

10 seconds out...why it it opened up at 11:08 and not 11:00?

Edit: my PS4 time must be off...

lordxar5 11-17-2014 10:39 PM

I agree. I am just glad we didn't quit. I didn't want to leave till we finished that sucker.

lordxar5 11-20-2014 06:09 PM

Little Big toilet and little big matrix are pretty good.

aaronwt 11-20-2014 06:19 PM

Is there a demo of this? I wouldn't mind trying it out.

Don't think so but there is SharePlay. ..

DarrellG 11-21-2014 02:10 PM

I probably won't pick this up until after X-mas but I'd like to try it out via Shareplay.

How glitchy is this game? I'm hearing a lot about bugs and freezes from both game reviewers and users. I was considering getting the PS4 LBP3 bundle this BF, but if it's as much of a mess as AC Unity, maybe I'll delay my foray into the current gen a bit longer.

From what I've read Unity is nearly unplayable from the crashes to the graphical issues. LBP is nothing like that. I've blue screened a couple times and had a couple events that needed restarted but it's pretty solid overall. Short campaign though but it is really fun. There's a LOT of user content already created, some pretty shytty some pretty good.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad to hear it's not as big of a mess as Unity.

How are the patches?
I can struggle through some bugs, but I'm hoping the game is playable for a 5 and 7 yo soon so the grandparents can get this game for them.
