Best HDTV for PS4

i am currently playing on an old olevia 32 " 720.......... enough said right? Ive been looking into new tvs since i picked up my ps4 a few months ago because, clearly, I am not getting the most out of my ps4. I've actually been looking more into 4k tv until just recently i came to my senses and decided against it because of the cost and lack of content. After mind boggling reasearch on sony 4ks (Having no previous knowledge of tv tech) i was aiming for the sony bravia 55" 850a. I am more interested in supreme picture quality than features i wont use like a webcam and speakers (getting surround sound same time as tv). now that i have just decided against 4k im back to the drawing board and im so frusterated. Im looking for THE BEST 55-65" 1080p tv for under 2000 (on black friday). 75% gaming 20% netflix and 5% cable. Your knowledge and advice is very much appriciated

You can get the 65W850a for under 2k and the tv is great for gaming with an input lag of 18ms in game mode and it's a 3dtv, if you care. I have the tv and I love it. I doubt it will get discounted for black friday, but most seem to find the tv within $1500.

i cant find last years models available for purchase at all, although the w850a looks like an awesome decision... while i was looking into 4ks i noticed last years models were being discontinued at best buy and everywhere else... unfortunately i wont be ready to make the purchase for a couple more months which is why im aiming for black friday. would i be right to say that Sony's 2013 models are better than this years in terms of picture quality? kinda disappointing .... anyway i cant keep track of all these specs of all these different tvs (just Sony considered, not even knowing for sure if i want a sony bravia for sure, having absolutely no previous knowledge of tv technology). its getting more and more frusterating trying to make a decision based on tons of reviews getting real mixed up the whole way. All i know for sure is i want the best 1080 HDTV possible at least 55"... 65 would be sweet if it doesnt break the bank

im thinking about the 60w630b because i dont much care for the 3d features and the size will fit well for me. however im hearing things about sony tvs taking a hit in the quality department lately and im worrying that any new sony tv wont last me long. Can anyone weigh in on this? if this is the case whos got some new recommendations for me because i cant stand to even think about looking into a whole new brand but i do want the best!!! ive also been reading on alot of people having problems with the edge lighting in the bravias... something about grey spots around the edges. buying a new tv and having it turn out to be **** just makes me sick to even think about

I have a small room, and was looking at a new tv. As I currently have a 19 inch sylvania. When did they stop making 26 inch hdtv's?

Get a projector.

I recently was playing some Fifa 15 and Madden 15 on a giant 128 inch screen, and those games are improved by LEAPS and BOUNDS from playing on a screen that large. Size matters, especially when it comes to many sports games. Also, racing games look absolutely amazing on a giant screen.

Fifa 15 on a 50 inch plasma, compared to a 128 inch projector screen is no contest. Not even close. Like playing two completely different games.

(my projector is a BenQ W1070 if you're wondering [about $700 ish] )

Bingo. My favorite TV for video gaming is my projector. I also have the BenQ W1070, got it for under $700 and am projecting onto a painted wall for a 120" 1080p screen.

I have a nice 55" LED in another room but it's really no contest. And the TV cost almost twice what the projector did!
