Q*Bert for the PS3

Is this arcade classic, released during the earlier years of the PS3, now delisted? I went to buy it, but can't find it.

Also can't find Burnin Rubber and Lock n Chase, two other classics released as PS3 compatible Minis.

I can see it in my download history, but trying to look it up in the store from there gives an "invalid SKUID" error. Searching in the store doesn't find it either. It must be gone.

This explains why Sony delisted their own game. It will release on the 17th for the PS3, PS4, and Vita and happily includes the arcade classic.

Too bad it doesn't include Q*Bert Qubes, its rare sequel from 1983.

Another nice inclusion would've been "Faster Harder More Challenging Q*bert", created by the original programmer when gamers mastered the original release but never publicly released by the publisher back in the day (The programmer considers it the definitive version of Q*Bert and released it several years ago to the internet).

Saw this! Can't wait. PS4 also. I'm hoping the PSTV as well.

Eww, the new hex-based play looks awful to me. And this is coming from someone who strangely liked the adventure mode in the Dreamcast Q*Bert game...

Yeah, the rebooted half of the package looks like junk. Has been available for mobile devices for quite sometime, but never saw anyone say anything good about it. The appeal here rests solely on the inclusion of the arcade original, in my opinion.

I also liked the Dreamcast/Playstation remake from Hasbro (Which included the arcade original, in both 2D and 3D styles), along with the even earlier Q*Bert 3 for the Super Nintendo.

This one looks like it was done by an indie developer over a few hours of spare time. That wouldn't necessarily be such an awful thing if they at least understood what made the original great, but from all reports I've seen, they didn't.

Sounds like Q*Bert Rebooted is a waste even for classic mode, since movement is apparently mapped to the analog stick's diagonals. Not a recipe for success for a game that requires precise 4 way control, which utilizing the d-pad could've accomplished.

And just to further confirm that they have no appreciation for what made this game and era of arcade gaming great, the high score table apparently is no where to be found.

I'll stick with the Hasbro version of the original on the PS1 and Dreamcast.
