PS4 & Vudu & 7.1
Please forgive me if this has already been answered.
I have a PS4 and Denon x4000 receiver. I notice the PS4 settings have 3 options:
1. Linear bitstreaming
I'm watching HDX movies etc.. from the Vudu app and am trying to get 7.1 sound (receiver is already configured for this). When I select "Dolby Digital" via PS4 settings, the output during an HDX movie is shown by the receiver to only be using 5.1 surround with the 2 back speakers not in use. When I set the PS4 to "Linear Bitstreaming" the receiver output shows "ALL CH Suround 7.1" or something very close to that. Is this the true 7.1 surround? Or do I need to set the PS4 back to "DD"
