I'm a little late for this party as this title has apparently been out for a while. Imagine the love child of 'Super Metroid' and 'Limbo' with a little bit of ’Braid' and 'Portal' thrown in for good measure. Beautiful dark eerie graphics - marred only by a handful of inexplicably cheesy structures (a soup can escape pod?!) Facinating movie quality storyline, writing, and voice work involving existentialism, metaphysics, biomechanics, and, of course, the old let's-get-the-hell-out-of-this-popsicle-stand-before-it-blows-to-smetherenies routine. And, there is surely a special place in Hades for the sadists who conceived some of these devious torture chambers that I've spent hours and hours of my hard earned nappy time happily trapped in.
Free for PS+ members (but I would have definitely paid for this.)
I bought this when it first came out based on some reviews I'd read, but haven't gotten around to playing it yet. I usually try to alternate between AAA titles and indies, and this will probably be the next indie I play.
I enjoyed the game. It only lasted a couple of play sessions, and only about 3 of the rooms caused any real head-scratching, but it was fun.
Almost all of the hidden areas that yield trophies are so obscure that you'd never run into them without a guide. I only hit one on my playthrough, and I was being pretty thorough. I apparently came close to a few others, but didn't try beaming into what looked like solid rock, so I didn't find them.
Just finished this the other night. Started it on my Vita while traveling, and then resumed on the PS4 after I got home. A great puzzle game that looks good on the Vita and great on the PS4. And two of the characters, Dennett and Chalmers, are named after major philosophers who've written about the nature of consciousness.
