Just figured out that it has to be the Master account unless you change the region of your master account as well .

** Got it working , downloading now .

Thanks to the OP for the information !

I think some other SNK ones are online. I'd have to check again.

Or if you want something a tad older but still "online console fighters":

Dreamcast:
-Street Fighter X (Online Japan Only)
-Vampire Savior X (Online Japan Only)

I'd love to see an online Tekken myself. Namco is so slow to move online.

Yeah, I remember complaining that King of Fighters was online only in Japan.

Sega and Namco have said they'll never put their fighters online.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD TEKKEN 5: DARK RESURRECTION from Hong Kong PS Network.

Note: Before doing this make sure you have a Visa or Mastercard Credit Card/Debit Card(In some cases you may need 2 cards).

1) Create a new log in on your PS3 system.(Far left of the XMB menu).

2) Sign up for the PS Network(Far right). Make a master account.

3) Fill in all information accordingly, choose Hong Kong as your country.

4) Under street address put in a random number and street name. For region just pick a random one, for example I picked Kowloon/Kowloon Bay.

5) Enter in your billing information, make sure you're accurate!

6) Once you finish setting up your account, go back to the Account Management and add funds to your wallet. What you're going to do now is add 40HKD twice. This will give you a total of 80 HKD. (Why are we doing this? Because for some reason when authorizing the credit/debit cards it will not complete the transaction when authorizing 80 or more HKD at a time;Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection is 125HKD). So now that you have 80 HKD. Exit the account management and go into the PlayStation Store.

7) Choose the DL for Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. Once doing so it will ask you to confirm and once you do it will show that there is a remaining balance owed of 45HKD. Authorize the transaction and you should be good to go! If it does not work on the PS Store screen you will have to use another card(Edit billing information on the account management screen of the PS Network(Far right on XMB).

Have fun!

depending on your credit card company, you will probably be charged for a 3% currency exchange fee... also since the HK store is charging it, you may have to authorize the charge with your CC company...

It seems to run perfect and looks pretty good considering it's just an arcade port . Certainly the best Tekken has ever looked , at least the best that I have ever seen it look . My son is loving it but then he and I are huge Tekken fans , this is a must own at this price IMO .

Awesome, thanks for the impression Jason.

So does it have a lot of text in English? easy to navigate?

What kinds of modes does it offer?

If anyone cares, Tekken also works with game sharing. Makes that $16 game only $3.20 a person.

I'm a fan of the Tekken games. I have Tekken 5 for the PS2. Would you say dropping coin on this newer version is a no brainer? Is it that much different?

if u know anything about Bryan's 1,2,1, d/f+3, WR+3 (or d+3+4,1) wall combo or Nina's u/f+1 okizeme cheese then yes, it's worth every penny.

Also, for single play the AI has improved greatly (enemies are more aggressive) and the ghost saves are a nice touch, though flawed to a hardcore fan.

Bottom line is it's 1080p Tekken with the best version to date for $20. Don't have much to lose.

I liked Tekken OK when I had a PS1 (I didn't have a PS2), I'm more of a button masher myself when it comes to these fighting games, never really knowing what the hell I'm doing but having fun anyways.

Is it really worth shelling out money for this when it comes out on the US store or should I just wait for Tekken 6 to be released?

My Second Life character looks and acts exactly like me except he can fly.

I really dont know WTH any of that is, but it sure sounds fun. I may just have to move to Hong Kong soon...
