After purchasing a Sony HDR-HC3 HD camcorder I was wishing there was a way to watch my HD movies besides through the camera. I bought a PS3 last Sunday and it is a dream come true for home HD movie watching. Being able to burn Raw or edited mt2 files onto a normal dvd-r+r data disk and watch or copy them to the PS3 is great. Slide shows on it is great too .

If you have a HDV cam you gotta get one.

You can do this on the Toshiba HD-DVD drives too.

About 30 minutes per DVDR, or about 45 if you drop the bitrate from 25mpbs to around 19mbps (about what Cable companies use to stream their HD on the good channels)....

I didn't know you could do this with the PS3, I only thought you could do this with the Toshiba HD-DVD players...good to know.
