I just downloaded GT HD v2.0 from the UK store, as I seemed to recall my US version was definitely a 1.x release. As I hoped, there is finally full support for force feedback effects thanks to Sony & Immersion settling their differences.

Nice for all the people who have force feedback wheels. Now if we can get a Dual Shock 3 controller out, I'd definitely spring for it.

PS Network: HZR
Xbox 360 Tag: HZR Nam 75
Wii Connect: 7793 3308 1436 9373

I support cycle commuting.

Very interesting. Good find.. Lets hope the update the US store with the latest version. Too lazy to create a UK account. Any other changes other than that? Not really worth me DL'in it again for Force feed back.

what's this? gt 2.0? the us version is 1.1. anyone have a list of the changes they made, other than force feedback? that's a pretty big version jump...

I've already got a Hong Kong & US account but if this isn't on the US site tomorrow I'll set up a UK account to get it!

I downloaded GT HD 2.0 from UK site. The game is larger which is 690MB. It installed on my PS3 and kept GT HD 1.1 on the hard drive.

Since I don't have force feedback steering, it looks the same to me.

Excellent. I'm so relieved that Sony's come to their senses and provided FF once again. If an F1 update comes to add support I'll go buy the game as soon as the update is available. This is a very big deal to me. Thanks for the info!

Since I don't own a Force Feedback streering, is it using USB interface or the legacy PS2 plug?

From that review:

Much of the feedback feels like it's based only on engine feedback rather than the road. While you'll feel a jolt when you drive on or off the track, you won't feel pebbles, grass or anything of that sort.
