That's some dedication. Thanks for all the hard work?

Did you remove the Japan only releases?

Yeah, I saw the latest list of Japanese titles whose names I can't pronounce and thought it's not worth keeping up with it. If the game is any good it'll be translated and come here anyway.

Not in every case....there's a lot of great Japanese games that would never make it's way here because of licensing issue or can't be marketed to a larger audience.

But, if it's going to be too difficult for your keep track of, that's fine.

There are so many titles that just aren't mentioned in the western press. I'd have to constantly peruse Japanese sites that post in English for the name of an odd PSN or store-bought game that they'd exclusively get. Akari P.J.? Mahjong Taikai IV? Mainichi Issyo? I'd never be able to get them all and most gamers here won't care for the majority of them.

From Japan today, several titles were revealed. They will likely come here and are added to the list (no link profiles yet):

- Buu Buu Cocoreccho (PSN download sequel to Loco Roco, I already had a placeholder for it)

- Nobi Nobi Boy (new Namco game from the Katamari Damacy designer)

- Valkyrie of the Battlefield (Japanese RPG, possibly coming to the U.S.)

- Disgaea 3 (strategy game, previous titles came to PS2 in U.S.)

Dynasty Warriors 6 was announced today at the Sony event in Japan. It is going on the 'eclusive possibility' list unless it is announced for another system.

This picture highly suggests that Twisted Metal is coming to the PS3 (yay!), so it is going into the rumor section:

I moved DW6 to the console exclusive list since it was officially announced only for the PS3. If it changes and goes to the X360 as well, I'll update then.

Silent Hill was removed from the list of PS3 'exclusive possibilities'.

Expect it to come out to the Xbox 360 as well for the US. Gundam Musou was PS3 only in Japan, but is multiplatform in the US (see Dynasty Warriors: Gundam).

ppshooky: You are likely correct, but we only have info for the PS3 right now and its even official. I haven't seen rumors of it for the X360 as well but wouldn't be surprised for the reasons you point out. I mean, we all thought Kamatari Darmacy was coming to the PS3... sometimes things change.

I'd love it to be a new Super Monkey Ball and no I don't want to have to use the sixaxis motion, an option for it is fine but I want traditional analog stick control if it does come.

According to recent news, the Twisted Metal pic is from an ad agency for something else. Still, with David Jaffe making some kind of documentary on the TM franchise, a sequel is likely IMHO. It'll stay in the rumor section.

A new, unnamed franchise from Rockstar is coming exclusively to the PS3.

Bionic Commando added to the rumor section:

Quote:

The latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly's Quartermann rumor mill is coming with a fresh set of rumors to peruse. The juiciest hearsay is that Capcom's Bionic Commando, once rumored to be getting the remake treatment, is now being developed as a full-fledged installment for the PlayStation Network.

Three new PSN titles are confirmed:

Toy Home
Operation Creature Feature
Trials of Topoq

I also added NCSoft entries in the confirmed section; they have at least two exclusive MMORPGs coming to the PS3 and likely more (Guild Wars 2 is rumored to be one). Lastly, I connected some of the missing links to ign pages and removed Disegea 3 since it's Japan only until I see otherwise.

Also, 3 Cellius projects? http://forums.gametrailers.com/showthread.php?t=138717

Cellius is the Sony/Namco-Bandai joint company.

Brave Arms - http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/3945/famitsu1iz1.jpg
Chain Limit - http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/8167/famitsu2av8.jpg
Second Season 1 - http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/2198/famitsu3ef5.jpg

Quote:

Sony and Namco Bandai joined together to form Cellius dubbed as Cellius Inc. The joint-venture will be focusing on developing games which can maximize the capabilities of the PS3's Cell Processor. This new company is headed by Isao Nakamura (father of Ridge Racer).

Here are some scans of new PS3 games that have been announced from the Cellius project - Brave Arms, Chain Limit, and Second Season 01. Here's what is known so far.

Brave Arms - What appears to be a third-person action game in the vein of Ninja Gaiden. One man takes on an oppressive regime in revolt.
Click here for scans: http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/3945/famitsu1iz1.jpg

Chain Limit - A James Bond/Jack Bauer style, spy adventure type of game.
Click here for scans: http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/8167/famitsu2av8.jpg

Second Season 01 - A first person, drama/sci-fi action title.
Click here for scans: http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/2198/famitsu3ef5.jpg

Apparently, these three games represent different narrative genres - one is action, the other survival, the other is investigative. All of them are QTE (Quick Time Event) fests wherein all its gameplay will involve selecting the available targets on screen and pressing buttons to do different actions to change how the scenes play out.

Unknown if it's going to come stateside.

Thanks for the info ppshooky. A few things:

- Monster Madness is also for the X360 according to your link:

Quote:

NOTE: This PS3 version was expected to be a project for the developer, but the game has so far only been announced for PC and Xbox 360.

- I read somewhere that Coded Arms Assault was canceled by Konami. I'll try to find out where.

- Zipper Interactive's project is SOCOM 4 (I have it listed). I read somewhere from the team that they were working on it when fans questioned if the upcoming download was the true sequel.

- I have Big Time revenge already on the possibility list.

- The Western from Rockstar is based on ther E3 2005 teaser footage. a few of the games at that time went multi-plat (DMC4, Fight Night R3, etc.), so I'll keep in on the possibility list. until I hear one way or another.

I'll update with the rest of your links, along with L.A. Noire based on Take-2's release schedule that came out today.
