i tried to play some SP events a few days ago and just didn't enjoy it for some reason. Then again, I've always enjoyed the online challenges and finding all the jumps/smashes/billboards much more than the SP races, stunt runs, etc.

if anyone wants to do more online challenges, PM me and I'll try to jump in. (just not tonight, i'll be playing KZ2)

This game has had somewhat of a resurgence in our household over the past few weeks. Although I completed the game a while ago, my son (4 years old) loves watching me drive around in the cop cars. He's a big fan of Firetrucks, Ambulances and Police cars - pretty much anything with a siren. He also likes to drive around in circles and lets me know he parked the car when he's done. Now, if they would only add moving trains.

Can't wait for the next game in the series.

What is the next game in the series? I've seen "Burnout Next" on the ign list, but there isn't any info on it.

I miss Burnout Monday's. I'll help out if anyone needs challenges and organizes a time.

There are rumors that the Burnout team at Criterion are working on a Need For Speed game.

I'm hoping that Black 2 is somewhere on their "to-do" list!

I see some posts here that imply a wheel works for the game. What are some recommended wheels for the game? How does the emergency brake work with the wheels?

Wheel works well for the majority of the game. It doesn't work when riding the bike or when doing "Showtime" as you can't control your "bounces". The wheel also sucks at navigating the maps. But for driving a car, the wheel is a blast. Our wheel just has the square key on it and you punch that while driving for the emergency brake - can be a touch tricky when you're doing a power slide, but you get used to it...

We've got one of the cheap Logitech wheels - nothing too fancy, but it gets the job done and is fun...

I was contemplating buying this for a few weeks at $20. But I haven't because I haven't historically been a big racing game fan. I did play the demo when I first got my PS3 and had fun driving around crashing and doing sick jumps, but the racing part I never really got excited about.

Now that it is priced at 14.99, I'm thinking it could be a buy again. Do people here think I'll enjoy just exploring and looking for jumps/tricks/crashes. Is it worth the $15?

I would say that even without the expansion packs BOP is a great deal. There should be enough road rage events and jumps (which are sometimes hard to find) that should keep you occupied for a while with mindless fun. Plus you can ride motorcycles .

It's a great deal...I'd say go for it.

I wasn't really impressed with Burnout 3 back in the day, and even I loved Burnout Paradise.

The racing part is fun though. You're not doing laps or anything (although some lapped events are in the Surf Island pack); you just have to get from one point on the map to another as fast as you can, and you can take different routes.

At $15 you can't go wrong. I waited forever since it was single player and picked it up for $20 and have had great fun trading off with my son on who drives. Really well put together game that's got a little something for everyone - my son loves road rage.

Definitely. Even better when you are doing that with 7 friends.
