First post here, so I hope this is posted in the right place.

My pc has a VisionTek ATI HD 4670 video card with HDMI video and audio out. The video card outputs into my Pioneer VSX-1019 AH-K 7.1 receiver. The receiver sends the pc signal to my Mitsubishi 73" tv.

All is well and good, everything works fine, until I turn off the receiver (when I go to bed or go out).

When I come back, I power up the receiver and tv (the pc stays running 24/7), and I'm greeted with a message "An HDMI to DVI connection has been detected...", blah blah blah. My pc defaults to a different audio driver, and I have no pc sound.

The only cure is a reboot or two. I have the latest video card drivers, my pc is up-to-date, no viruses or spyware, and all connections are solid.

My pc is running Windows XP Professional.

Leaving the receiver running all the time seems to be the only solution, but it's not one I'm willing to try, as it uses 350 watts even if it's dead silent.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
