Is there a visualisation program/plug-in that can be configured so that the input is from a program (game) audio?

I want to set up a projector as a second "monitor" and have it aimed at the ceiling to have ambient lighting, while playing a game (Diablo 3, not that it matters).

Milkdrop is my favorite visualisation for Winamp... but seems to only be able to "visualise" Winamp's audio...

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Not aware of any programs, but you could try some of these perhaps for ambient lighting.

you know - it's funny you presented these lights, my friend have the exact same and will bring them at our "Diablo 3 venue"

I did find a solution though - got the answer on winamp's forums.

"Not directly, no. You could use a minijack Y-cable or a mixer and return the audio to your line-in. Then, (in Winamp) open the following URL in your playlist: linein://

It's kind of messed up but the only way that I know of to get it done."
