I 'm going to attempt to pick together my first gaming rig . I think I want to spend anywhere from 800 to 1000 on the rig and whatever I have leftover on the monitor.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Not to advertise someone else, but you will find much more specialized assistance on a site like tomshardware.com

In fact, they have builds already made for whatever your price point is.

Oh, and Newegg.com is my building website of choice.  No tax and incredible sales daily if you sign up with an email address

I can help you out, I've been building gaming PCs for almost 20 years.
What are some specific things you would like to do with your gaming rig?
Is this USD currency?
