Old news but the NBA turned down the offer by EA since they said that the situation is different than the NFL. The NBA said that EA doesn't dominate the market like they do with the NFL and that they would actually be losing money by signing an exculsive agreement with EA.

Kudos to the NBA for making the right decision, the NFL f*cked up their decision.

Maybe what I wrote wasn't clear. What you just wrote above was a rumor, and it has now been debunked as a false rumor.

There was no offer, and the NBA didn't turn it down, since it didn't exist.

I'd deny it too if the NBA turned me down. EA looked bad in the public eye after the deal they struck with the NFL, it doesn't surprise me at all that they would deny this claim since they were turned down and the public isn't that happy with EA right now. I will have to see an official statement from the NBA before I write this rumor off.

As you can see, EA denies it, but other sources do not deny it and the NBA has not said that EA didn't approach them. EA is just trying to save face at this point.
