I am trying to figure out how to use my HDTV and 2 monitors for PC gaming.

I would like the HDTV to be the center display, and the 2 monitors on the side for surround displays (for simulator games). The HDTV only has Component, and HDMI 1.1 for high rez input.

I thought i can hook up all three of them because my video card 7600GT has all 3 connections coming out. I tried, and the drivers said only 2 can be on at once

The 2nd problem is that the drivers won't allow the games to span from the monitor to the component, which ruins the multimonitor gaming part.

According to the nvidia forums i briefly browsed, even with DUAL LINK dual video cards in a system, it STILL only allows 2 screens even though there are physically 6 video connections and 4 hardware video output chips. :/

Looking at the matrox triplehead2go (REALLY expensive) that one outputs in vga or dvi, but i would require hdmi 1.1 or component for one of the connections.

Is there any way to get triple screen gaming with a HDTV in the middle?

I was under the impression that you have to have specific cards to use more then two monitors. I thought the GeForce 8800's support this, but I would imagine your card would not.

You should use DVI->HDMI instead of the component...that might help. The cards with three outputs definitely support only two at once.

Interesting idea; I've seen it done on game-sites and game magazines several times and I would imagine it is only a choice of graphics cards -- maybe it's an ATI thing.

You can connect 3 360 and 3 copies of forza and you can have multi screen gaming. Very few pc games support multi screen gaming.

Nope, last time I checked, not ATI.
