I just need some advices, help and info...

I have an Xbox 360 + the HD DVD drivd add-on... in Component (video) and Optic (sound). So im able to watch dvd, hd on my plasam tv.

I just bought a PS3 and of course i want to watch all movies in 5.1PCM. But my receiver doesnt have a HDMI.... so right night it's in optic in my receiver... so dont have the 5.1PCM.

So it's why im trying to find a new receiver so i could enjoy all the sound of it (5.1PCM from bluray, DTS or DD+)....

here's my 3 choices....
harman/kardon AVR 247 or Pioneer VSX-1017TXV-K or Sony STRDG910
Any thoughts about them ???

I purchased the Sony STRDG910 last month to connect our XBOX 360, Wii, and DVD player (SD) to our Panasonic Plasma. I've been happy with it so far. It was reasonably simple to connect the component cables to the receiver and then have one HDMI cable to the television. It's nice that you can rename the inputs for the display.

One problem I've encountered is that when using the 360, video will sometimes be lost. Video can be restored by switching to another input then back to the 360. This does not happen with the Wii or DVD, so I think there is just a problem specific to the 360/receiver interchange while the component signal is being converted to HDMI. Maybe it's because the 360 is higher resolution than the other two. Maybe this is just a fluke with my setup, but it's something you may want to consider.

Otherwise, as I said, I've been very happy and had no other problems.

You dont like the Onkyo 605 (which is really a gaming receiver) because...?

Toshiba TLP-650, Infocus 4805, Panasonic AE2000, JVC DLA-RS400U
HK AVR-8000, Yamaha RX-V681BL, Sansui (yes they were awesome)
