In case you're one of the few Wii owners who are fans of the franchise but didn't pick this up immediately.

Edit: Okay, the link doesn't work for some reason, but just go to Amazon and search for it.

Just searched for this and found that the $25.99 price is for Gamecube. The Wii version is still full price.

Over the weekend, my local Costco had the Wii "Galaxy Pak" ( I believe that's the name) for around $350. Includes the regular Wii console package w/ 1 Wiimote/'Chuck, a 2nd 'chuck, Wii Sports, Wii Play (w/ Wiimote #2) & Super Mario Galaxy.

They had at least 10 in stock Saturday morning.

Okami $30 shipped at Best Buy.com (also available for in-store pickup)

Also of note, a lot of Circuit City stores seem to have Wiis in stock right now for some reason. Must be stocking up for the likely Wii Fit craze, I guess.

My local WalMart had 2 in stock Saturday morning. Target had 3-4 it looked like.

Quick update: Amazon also has Okami for $30 shipped now, for anyone who feels like skimping out on sales tax. This is presumably in response to BB's price, so the price cut is probably only gonna last a week.

After reading a few other articles/forum threads that mention the possibility of supply/demand tomorrow, I'm thinking about a lunch trip to BB, They had A LOT of their in store preorder slips for Fit amongst the Wii titles this weekend. $5 deposit saves you a copy.

The linked coupon settles it. You rock, tampabuc!

edit: While still taking preorders, my local BB pulled the in store flyers regarding it. Mgr @ the help desk said they had only sold 15 reservations & that they received WAY MORE (his words) than that for stock tomorrow. Enough to potentially last them thru this weekend's ad, he stated.

From the supply/demand issues mentioned elsewhere, this surprised me. But I imagine BB is a "top tier" customer w/ Nintendo & had access to plenty of stock.

The above mentioned coupon, of course, will still be valid.

pcclub.com has the following games for $41 shipped. Not a huge discount or anything, but not bad for new copies of first-party games.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Mario Strikers Charged
WarioWare Smooth Moves

In what could be termed an ANTI-DEAL, shop4tech.com is selling a Wii Weapon Kit 8-in-1 Bundle for $28. Totally stupid gun/axe/sword/dagger/shield/etc.-shaped foam attachments for your Wiimote to up your manliness quotient to the heavens. Anyone who orders this automatically gets a free year's supply of My Derision, yet also, grudging respect. I mean, four of the attachments are just different kinds of knives. That's commitment.

Target is advertising a $10 gift card with the purchase of Boom Blox. The game is still regular price, but a free gift card is almost as good as cash.

Smash Bros Brawl $48.99 shipped + $10 Amazon gift card

Not that great a deal, but a decent bonus for anyone thinking of picking this up who hasn't already.

Eneloop Travel Pack $20 + shipping at Amazon

Not strictly a Wii deal, but lots of people here seem to be considering Eneloops, so here you go. Pretty good deal for four AAs, two AAAs, and "spacers" that will let you use the AAs as C or D-cell batteries. Charger looks to only charge two at a time, but if you need both AA and AAA rechargeables, seems like a no-brainer.

Very similar to the set Costco was selling a couple months back (which I bought), except the Costco version had double the batteries & a 4 battery charger for around $30. Good deal on the Amazon set, though. May get it just to have more batteries & 2nd charger. Charging is pretty fast, BTW.

The Eneloops do come out of the box w/ a full charge, so you can start using them immediately. Since getting them, I find they hold charge/last longer than the other NiMH batteries I have. In a Wiimote, for example, A fresh pair register a "full charge" on the Wii onscreen remote info, quickly drop to "3 bars" but stay there for a long time before dropping any lower.

Plus, one of my 3 Wiimotes has had a set of Eneloops in it, sitting idle w/ their OOB charge, for a few weeks. Checked last night....still a "3 bar" battery level.

The posted link doesn't take you to the page, but asks you to goto Amazon's home page. Quick search @ Amazon found it, though.

Never heard of this one....looks interesting for the price. Might grab one myself.

The description says only 2 AAA: "The Kit comes with four AA batteries and two AAA batteries,".

I know that makes a big difference to some people. I'm seeing more and more AAA uses around the house. I bought a couple of the eneloop "power packs" with a total of 8 AAA, and it's still not enough.

I got this offer via email from Red Octane. I'm assuming anyone can use it.

5% off "everything" at the Red Octane store (Not exclusively Wii). Use code "FIVEOFF" (during checkout). Offer ends 6/15.

I assume "everything" includes pre-orders for GH Aerosmith and GH On Tour (DS), both out later this month.

Good price on this "must have" Wii title, plus a gift card!!! Sweet!

My question is, though---and no relation to Wii, I apologize---why has Amazon JACKED UP prices on much of their remaining HD DVD stock? Several titles I was hoping to get when the prices crept lower, but the opposite is happening. Interesting....is "collector's item" status happening for the vanquished HD format's discs already?

BluRay still has rather pricey players, but the discs are getting a bit cheaper & BOGOs are happening here & there. HD DVD players can, in many cases, still be had for a song.....but the software prices are inflating.

The super awesome ZODIAC 2 disc HD DVD set went from $18.95 up to $27.95, I believe. Close to it's initial release price. And that's Amazon's price, not from a secondary dealer (can be had used from some of them for close to the old price). What gives, Amazon? Don't you want to clear your warehouses of the "dead" format?

Sorry for the mini-rant....back to the smokin' Wii deals!!!

Yeah...we need a resurgence of SSBB players here. Of all the friend codes I added in the past, only Mongo's made a "friend connection". Would love to have some less random online fights.
