Next week's Target ad features Boom Blox Bash Party for $30.

That was quick.

Just a sale price, I think - not getting permanently dumped to $30 just yet. GameStop's recent $20 price drop on MadWorld was just a promo thing, too (it's still $50 everywhere).

In the current economy, I expect the now not-so-recession proof gaming market to see game discounts on titles much sooner than they occured before.

I got Aerosmith edition of Guitar Hero for Wii for under $40 at Target. There were at least ten of them on an end cap, marked down to $37.48. Even my GF thought it was worth the money at that price.

I want HOTD sooooo badly! However, with Ghostbusters and the Conduit coming out soon, I don't know where I'll find the time to play through it...

Man, I'd defintely recomend buying it and putting it in the "to-be-played" pile at this price. you can grab a 6'er this weekend, beat the whole thing in 4-5 hours, and still have the 20-40 hours needed to beat GB and Conduit... then come back for the director's cut and dual wield mode in July

I rented and played through HOTD a few weeks ago. It was fantastic, but definately a game that I have to play late at night after the kiddo and wife hit the bed. I was up to fighting Mother on the directors cut mode before I returned it. I am so tempted to order it and stash it away for a rainy day...lol.

So Target offers a $20 gift card this week if you buy both the Tiger Woods 10 M+ bundle + Grand Slam Tennis.

Toys R Us has a "Buy 1, Get 1 20% off" deal on all Wii (and 360/PS3) games $19.99 and up. Not really a fantastic deal, but better than nothing if you're planning on picking up a couple games this week anyway.

Well that might explain why 2 local Targets were sold out of TW10 w/ packed in M+ this weekend!

In related Target deals talk, both Wii versions of Lego Star Wars Complete Saga & Lego Indy Jones are now $19.99. My 6 yr old loves the SW game (and so do I) - $20 for the Indy edition is tempting.

Just making sure this was not missed....

Toys R Us is also offering a $20 GC when you buy Ghost Busters on the Wii, 360, or PS3. No strings attached. I'm sure BestBuy will match also if they are closer for you...

Regarding the Target Deal on TW10 & GST....
They were still in storage at my local Target as late as Sunday afternoon. They never put the TW10 bundled pack out on the floor. They forgot. I had to ask for it. GST also showed a release date in their systems of 6/16 so they had to clear that also. What a mess but everything rang up correctly, with a $20 GC. I assume all Target stores corrected this by today but just in case...ask...

Yeah, online only it appears. In store used copies still run $39.99 $ may or may not be in the original case or have the manual inside.

Looks like the $24.99 online copies are plucked from GS's "cream of the crop" used stock - looks to be guaranteed to be in pristine condition - both disc & case - & will have the instruction manual. I imagine those w/ a GS Edge card can get this online for $22.49. Not too shabby.

Looks like Gamestop is dropping pricing to move a few Wii games out. A quick scan of the website shows new copies of Madworld, Excitebots and Animal Crossing and WarioWare:SI have all dropped to $19.99. Not bad for new games, if anyone's looking.

Oh, and they dropped Wii Music to $19.99 as well, but I wouldn't let you give that game to me

Maybe if they paid you to take a copy of Wii Music.

Actually, a relative of mine has Music. I borrowed it not long ago & my 6 yr old loved it. So, I may take one for the Nintendo team & get it for the kids. Then again, after several beers, it can be kinda fun for a little while for adults. But then again, my kid also loves RockBand, so maybe we'll stick with a legit rhythm game....

$20 for either Madworld, 'Bots & AC is a good deal - is the AC the non-WiiSpeak version? Nope, game only - just looked. Perhaps Madworld might see a jump in sales now that it's in the $20 range. Did see that they also have used Madworld for $18.

Those prices are good till 8/2, btw. Gamestop's doing a system-wide fire sale on a whole bunch of big games (the biggest being Street Fighter IV for 360/PS3, which pretty much sold out immediately). MadWorld, Animal Crossing and Excitebots are great values at $20.

Hmmm. Shows up as $19.99 new for me:

http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/Prod...oduct_id=72067

There's quite a few wii games showing up less than $20 (how can you pass up Imagine: Fashion Party at that price!?), and a schizer load of old Gamecube games under $10, some $0.99 (all antique Madden/sports annuals). If you have a handful of ones you could walk out with quite a few GCN games...

Although I've been hearing rumors that 2010 is the end of used GCN games at EB/Gamestop... which would explain the firesale of high-inventory used stock. Supposedly some locations have stopped buying GCN games all together, only accepting trade-ins towards new purchases, and limited titles at that.

Makes sense - always seems to be the same collection of titles collecting dust @ the various ones I have frequented. Did cash in on a couple of GS's "3 for 2" GCN sales in the past. And the ones that linger most are those still pricey for used, like Double Dash & Melee. I imagine even more GCn blowouts thru the year.

With the discount card & CA sales tax, those $0.99 GCN games would be $0.98 out the door. I have change in the car for 2 of those. Hmmm...if anything worth a buck is in stock, I may check it out after work.

And the price certainly possesses the WAF.

Don't know if anyone saw this yet:

https://subs.timeinc.net/SI/si_madde...questid=138955

Madden 10, a John Madden documentary, and a 28 week Sports Illustrated subscription for $49.

The magazine auto renews you if you don't cancel, but really this is a great deal.

Not seeing any 25-30% trade-in deals for the Metriod Prime trilogy disc, but at least you can get a 20% upgrade:

And not that anyone asked, but IF your local GS still has gameboy or GBC games around, now's the time to buy- 75% off. Looks like they're definitely clearing out the old stuff. Not that anyone still HAS a GBC, but if you did...

I've honestly not been a big GS proponent in the past (I feel they ask too much for used games- $5 less than new, come on!), but the more they send out B2G1 deals and the latest round of GCN price reductions... my tolerance for them has grown a bit

GameStop may not be pimping any trade deals for the MP Trilogy just yet, but I would guess there will be a release day trade deal posted closer to the big day.

But yeah, lot's of big sales & whatnot happening @ GS lately. I need to go back & look thru the GCN titles again for a smokin deal or 2.

In-store deal only, but Target has dumped the Rock Band 2 complete kits for all systems to $89.99 this week - surely in prep for The Beatles next week....

GHWT kits, however, were bumped back up to $169.99 (were on sale for under $100 last week).

The blue flashing light on your Wii today is likely telling you about a Internet Channel update. Free to DL if you have the Channel already.

THe "deal" is that later in the message, they state that anyone who previously used 500 Wii Points to purchase the Internet Channel will get 1 free NES VC title in October (500 Wii Points). More info to come via Wii message closer to Oct.

I think maybe making that Metroid Trilogy complete w/ the NES Metroid they left out of Prime would be a good choice.

EDIT: OK - clarification. The Internet Channel update actually has to do with the fact that said Channel is now free on the Shop (and got a Flash upgrade). The 500 Wii Points is Nintendo issuing a refund to all those who paid for it in the past. Nice.

awesome- but what's the update?

Hopefully it's a more compatible flash video player... We want Hulu. And, um, pr0n.

No, wait ! I meant network TV sites... totally meant network. Stupid spell check.

I believe it updates to Flash 8. Hulu still doesn't work, though.
