I have the official Nintendo component cable and it is about 8ft long. My tv is wall mounted and i have an Omnimount wall mounted shelf that you can use to hide the wires.

I recently purchased a new TV and am trying to clean up the wiring a bit while i am in there (separate the A/V wires from the power wires, etc...) and am in need of a shorter component cable (2-3ft if possible) so i don't have 8ft of cable wound up behind my components.

Has anyone ran into a similar problem and if so how did you overcome it? Any way to modify the existing cables to a shorter length without a loss in picture quality?

Thanks

6' is about the shortest I've ever seen. You could always clip off a longer one and solder on new tips

Or open it up on the connector side and cut'n'solder the connections there.
