For those not paying attention, a good iPhone or iPod Touch is $300 and is now Nintendo's main portable gaming competition. Even the cheap iOS platform option is $230. A potential $300 for the 3DS is not out of the ordinary in any way. I would expect it to launch in the US at the $250 price point that served them quite well with the Wii, but would not be shocked to see a $300 tag.
It's not just the handhelds, every company is busily moving their entire PS2 catalog over to PS3 and 360.
Where are the PS2 ports on the Xbox 360?
And beyond a handful of major 1st party series on the PS2 that have gotten HD makeovers for the PS3 (A grand total of 1 release so far with two more under development), I'm not seeing anything there either.
Rez, Beyond Good And Evil, Ico/Shadow, God Of War, the entire 360 Classics series, Stranger's Wrath...
That's just what comes to my mind with ready ease. I'm sure if I turned on either of my boxes, or glanced at my collection I'd see further examples. While it isn't nearly the extent that Number implied, it also isn't the dearth of titles that you are claiming.
