My friend wants to buy my Wii since it's only been turned on 3 times in as many years. I have one game, 2 sets of controls plus the wii fit stuff. Thanks!

$60

seriously, you'll be $60 richer. What's the other option? You try to sell the whole thing, controls, games and board, on Craigslist for $100...or sell each piece one by one for max profit and deal with the hassle, the asshats and spammers, yada yada...

I vote take some money and keep a friend. You're not using it, man, give it a good home. Like a kitten! Wii is awesome, my favorite system in a long time, but I see Wii's used for $25, balance boards are $30. It's not an investment at this point, unless you're short on funds just make this a positive cash flow.

Give your bud a break, cash out, then go over there to play it with him, You win, twice! He might even give you a beer, so thrice!

Selling to friends means you make them a good deal. Be a good friend. That's why Kyle has my old 50" plasma for $250 and Dail has my old iPad 2 for $200. voodoo is right, a good home for your old toys is more important than maximizing profit. smile.gif

Sounds like a great idea. It's mostly for her kid anyway. Thanks for the help!

I went the craigslist route, because I had a bunch of games and wanted to let people choose which games they wanted. Worked great for me; several people only wanted to buy the games, and between them and the person who bought the system, I made quite a bit of cash to help fund my Wii U purchase.

I tend to price things to sell fast, because I feel like I got my money's worth just by playing it, and anything I make from the sale is a bonus. I generally mark stuff down to about half of what Gamestop sells the used item for.
