I had my Wii wirelessly connected for over a year without any problems. Then a few days ago it stopped connecting (no changes to anything else). I just spent almost an hour chatting with the guys over at Nintendo to no avail. Might connecting it with a wired connection help?

I know, I should have asked them, but didn't think of it and they never suggested it.

Thanks for your help!

I've never tried it, but you can buy one of these to get a wired connection on the Wii. It would be worth a shot, and not too expensive.

It worked just fine.

It was odd because the wi-fi worked just fine for well over a year before stopping. And the Wii could still see the signal, just couldn't connect to it. Either way, the LAN adapter worked and was very easy to set-up; just wish I had a longer cord available...

Ethernet cable are dirt cheap on Amazon. Order one up. smile.gif

The key word you're looking for is "CAT5e". CAT6 is overkill with a price bump, and anything labeled as just "ethernet" could be anything.
