Watched it. Playing with Wii Street U now. Finally got a release date on Animal Crossing!

I missed some if it so I'll watch it again at lunch. Looked good though.

80 new NSMBU levels for Luigi is insane, curious as to how much it will cost.

Hope the 3dsXL Fire Emblem package makes its way over to NA....

Too many systems and games....not enough time or money!

No kidding, it's suddenly Luigi time... after, what, 30 years he's due

Iwata alluded to this as the "Year of Luigi", BTW.
Quote:
"Luigi first appeared in Mario Bros. on July 14th, 1983, the very day before the Famicom was released on the 15th. This year, 2013, is Luigi's 30th anniversary, making this the Year of Luigi"

reminds me of the Zelda anniversary love, the Mario collection, Kirby... and Metroid?

Is it sad I was jealous of the Goron figure (and the Hyrule Historia siting on his desk)?

I didn't hear an Animal Crossing summer release for the Wii U. Just the June release for the 3DS. Was a Wii U release mentioned?

And I believe Lego City: Undercover for the Wii U comes out around March 18th.

I haven't paid much attention to that one, I'm a bit burnt out on those Lego games unless this one offers something extra....

Agreed. Although I'll be happy if it comes to the Wii U as well. But the 3DS version should be good to go already.

Although they did mention they were adding some sort of online content for North America.

I never really got into them and this one looks very GTA/open concept. Should be fun.

There's a lot of interesting 3DS content, but I honestly barely play my 3DS, even some of my more highly anticipated games on it. I just don't carry it with me on a daily basis any more, and there's other games I play when I'm at home instead.

As a fan of the show, I'm looking forward to this on the Wii U in March.

I hear you! smile.gif

Like most people, I'm always wanting them to put out more games. But here I am still finishing up a few current games and there are plenty more coming out just around the corner.
And I still haven't even played Batman: Arkham City Armoured Edition yet! Everyone tells me that's a great one.

So little time...

That's on my to buy list. I already have the 360 version, but I'm a huge Batman nut and have no problem double-dipping for the gamepad features and all DLC content. I've heard mixed messages about the framerate on the Wii U version, some saying it's a major issue and others saying it's not that bad.

But yeah, as far as the quality of the game itself, Batman AC IMHO is one of the best games I've played in years( along with its predecessor Asylum). I rarely replay games but this is worth multiple play-throughs, and even once you've finished the main campaign you can freely zip about the city beating up thugs and exploring. Don't know where that game falls in your backlog, but I'd recommend moving it to the front of the line. Can't miss experience IMO.....

The Batman gamepad features are kind of... terrible. Maybe if you played the game before it'd make more sense.

The map doesn't cover levels, which is odd. So if you're standing above a door, it looks the same as standing in front of it. They sorted this out way back in Link to the Past, and Assassins Creed did it passably.

I haven't figured out what the Sonar feature is supposed to do.

Instead of choosing items with the gamepad (like Zelda 3DS) you choose which D-pad slot they go into, and still you have to remember which arrow it is. Mostly it appears to be used for character profiles.

Not sure why they didn't just slap detective mode on the bottom screen.

The frame rate on batman is definitely noticeable, however it doesn't ever seem to play into any specific gameplay issues.. it's really odd.. the game is fantastic though.. easily one of the best launch Wii U games next to zombi U and nsmb U. Lego City for a "lego" game seems borderline radically different because it's not tied to a movie or some other franchise.. there is a really good preview write up on ign.com and they said they were constantly surprised and really loving the game.. it's a definite buy and Monster Hunters UNITE! Also Need for Speed evidently is really fleshed out, using PC assets for the textures, better lighting etc.. it seems they really went the extra mile on this one.. I might have a look at this also.. Finally a solid month for Wii U after the post launch drought.. which is expected, it seems to happen on almost all platforms.

There is a $20 off on amazon when you pre-order both mon hun wii u and 3ds ver..
