We skipped the other 2 consoles and picked up the Zelda edition Wii U.

Why? We love Nintendo. Don't get me wrong, my 360 is on constantly but it's usually streaming video from Netflix or YouTube.

The wife and I are old school gamer nerds. We collect them, play them, and love them. But, you know what? Microsoft never found a way to wiggle into our emotions. It was and is just an appliance. Master Chief was cool, but no where near as endearing as Mario or Link.

Even Sony had Ratchet and Clank, but nothing from Microsoft.

We always come back to Nintendo, though. It's good, honest gaming at its core, and full of characters you can connect with.

We'll buy the new PS and XBox eventually, but not anytime soon.

I bought my Wind Waker Wii U just over a week ago and I love it.

As a gamer, I've known since the N64 era that owning just a nintendo wouldn't be enough, but nor would just owning a playstation. For Final Fantasy VII, I would raise a Majora's Mask. For MGS3, I would raise a Tales of Symphonia. For The Last of Us, I raise a Xenoblade. Just too much fun to be had by limiting your options.

To me buying a PS4 and Wii U is an easy choice - both will have great exclusives when it's all said and done. BUt right now it's Wii U and PS3 for me.

i will eventually buy a ps4 also eternal, but i am enjoying not having to pay to play online with my ps3 right now. anyone who has xbox live you are getting two free games with gold i think on the 1st and 16th. right now they are giving away gears of war to download free. don't forget to do the surveys for your games on wii u through club nintendo. sometimes they give away games with so many points to download from the e shop.
