If they really take the open-world Skyrim influence but keep the OoT/TP 3D Zelda feel, this will be the Zelda game we've always wanted. I really dig the art style.

Wonder how it will control? Motion+? Gamepad?

Wii Motion Plus worked amazing for Skyward Sword, but the Wii U title won't require a Wiimote since its an optional accessory.

Haven't played Skyward Sword yet, I have it in my backlog.

However, even if the motion+ worked well... I play videogame to sit down relaxed on the couch... i don't want to wiggle a controller to pretend I'm fighting monsters... tongue.gif

I wanted to hear more, but it looks excellent and I like what he was saying about making it open and non-linear. I can't wait.

When did they say anything about controls? It would be neat if Motion Plus is supported as an option, but he didn't say anything one way or another during the unveiling.

I suspect this will have similar controller options as Wind Waker HD.

I'd be very surprised if Skyward Sword motion controls return. Much as I liked them, it'd be kinda weird to have one of the Wii U's biggest titles completely marginalize the Gamepad.

I'm really loving the art style though. I think they've found the perfect middle ground between "realistic" and Wind Waker styles.

So... apparently that wasn't Link in the trailer. (Nintendo is hinting strongly that it isn't) Also, the horse isn't Epona unless they changed her design... Something fishy is going on...

Don't remember if they announced this, but Amazon shows a December 31, 2015 release date.

Amazon often puts December 31 as a placeholder on items with unknown release dates - see also Batman: Arkham Knight, Uncharted 4, and Kingdom Hearts 3.

I see. Well, the Nintendo subforum can now go back into hibernation...because this is the only section that actually has worthwhile games to play and there's too little time to type!!
