I paid $59.99 for this game when it first came out (higher than most carts at the time) and it provided hours upon hours of entertainment. I don't care if its $59.99 again, I'll buy it regardless of cost:

That game got the most play time from me on my SNES, along with A Link to the Past, but the first game I download will be Chrono Trigger for SNES.

Have they said all games will be available?

I was under the impression only publishers that wanted to and first party titles would be available?

That's how I understood it as well. But if Chrono Trigger were available, I would download it.

Legend of Zelda: A link to the Past will be my first download as well. One of my favorite games ever.

Yeah, but it's already been mentioned that the many of the big publishers have already signed on, so I was assuming, or at least hoping, that Square-Enix had, too.

My guess is Chrono Trigger as well. Not that it's necessarily a better game than the Mario or Zenda games, but I still have an SNES hooked up with those carts around.

PS - For those that haven't played it, SMRPG would be a great choice!

I only got into console gaming with the N64, so for me, Goldeneye (one can dream) or Pilot Wings. I'm also hoping they can work some sort of ultra-miracle and take Goldeneye or Perfect Dark online. I would have a smile on my face for a year straight.

Well, Chrono Trigger, the Final Fantasy games, Secret of Mana, and the Mega Man games are on the top of my list.

However, my first download, without any question or hesitation, will be Earthbound. For me nothing else even comes close to consideration. My second download will be Mario RPG, and after that I am undecided. Perhaps Super Metroid.

Have they said anything about price?

It would be nice if they released these in hard copy form. Maybe in volumes by publisher or by title name. I would like to have a hard copy. Maybe have the option of for an extra amount have a disk sent. I have seen some software makers do this.

I'm almost positive that Nintendo stated the Revolution would have an external flash drive. If this is the case, you should be able to not only back up the games on a memory card, but also write them to a CD on your PC and reload them as you choose to. That is, if they let the games be written to anything other than whatever internal memory the console has...

Man, you guys are reminding me of all the good games I haven't played in forever... The SNES had so many games that are still fun, and not simply for 'nostalgia' purposes. Super Metroid was excellent, Secret of Mana wasted hours of my time, Super Mario All-Stars was worth it just for the lost levels...

I'm gonna have to pull my SNES out again and play some of these. I wonder what other gems I have sitting at home...

Man, I just sold my SNES with 15 carts because I was rarely playing it.I'm starting to regret that decision.Even thought the revolution intrigues me as far as downloadable games go,there's still something about having the actual system and the carts.I think I may have to buy another SNES.I had final fantasy 3,that's gonna be hard to find again...Damn

Too many systems and games....not enough time or money!

I'd have to go with Super Metroid. Loved that game back in the day.

Both great choices. And the slowdown on the N64 should be cleared up in emulation.

One would hope so. On PC emulation, despite the emulator reading a constant 60 fps, the games are still paced as they were on the N64. Thus, you still experience the slowdown in all games that inherently have it. You can change the pacing, but the video and sounds either don't sync or are too fast.
