In the US - FYE is now taking pre-orders for the Wii. When I went the manager didn't even know they were but they did find the item in the computer and I was able to get my Wii pre-oder with the official FYE pre-order SKU (Not the same as the actual Nintendo Wii SKU whoch probably doesn't exist yet).

I plan on stopping by FYE today to try. I'm not convinced that I want the Wii right away but if Mario Galaxy comes out at launch or close to launch I'll be sold. I just hope FYE doesn't make you bundle many games. I can do that with the PS3, but not quite as interested with the Wii unless the games are fairly cheap.

Yes, FYE is taking pre-orders. Put my $50 down today. No one else on the list. To be honest, I'm not sure if a pre-order will be necessary with the Nintendo. I don't recall any shortages with the Gamecube.

I was told the same thing when calling two stores. The guy I ordered from wasn't sure if they were either and I told him to look up Wii in his computer and he found it. To be quite honest, i'm not sure if a pre-order with the Wii will be necessary :confused:.

Since the price has been released hopefully places should start allowing pre-orders! :)

Don't have an FYE near me, so I hope some other places start doing pre-orders. It may not be necessary, but with it being so close to the holiday season and the price being lower than the other systems, it could be hard to find.......I don't want to be in that situation!! :p

Toyrus is having wii bundle preorder available for $50, bundle include console, two games and extra wii-mote.

You got more from them than I've been able to. Did they tell you WHEN the bundles would be available for preorder?

Do you get to pick the games? If so, I might go this route.

Just called FYE in NewPort mall in Jersey City NJ, they are now taking pre-orders for the Wii. I will be going on my lunch break and pre-order it.

I just put $51.50 down on my Wii at FYE. I asked the salesman if this is a bundled package and he said no but that I need to also purchase either 2 game, 2 controllers or a combo of 1 game and 1 controller. This is fine with me since I was going to do it anyway.

EB/Gamespot announced today they will be taking preorders starting tomorrow (13th) morning in store only. They open at 10 so I will be at work!! :(

I went into the FYE in the mall here (Huntsville, AL) and i asked if they still had any slots available for Wii pre-order and the guy didn't think that anyone had put a pre-order in yet. it was in their system though so i pre-ordered. I'm getting it for the g/f for christmas :D.
