That's cool. I'll have to fire it up. Haven't played that game in quite a while.

Nice thing, same as with The Crew, these games run at 4k on current hardware. I'm really tempted to play AC 3 because the game looked so good (and ran so well) at 4K on a youtube video I was watching.....but I never played Blood Dragon, well I think I put maybe 5 minutes into it....i just wasn't in the mood for that type of FPS experience at the time, but I'll give it a nod this time for sure. (yeah, I realize I've jumped properties...Assassins Creed 3, which isn't free, is what I want to play ).

Really? Why AC3?

I liked the game, but felt like I was in the minority there.

AC games require you to learn and maintain their oddball combat/control style, which is why I start them...and then abandon them. The first I put many hours into...the second, maybe an hour (hated the Italian setting to be honest)....the third, in Boston, started to hook me but I got lost in other games. I haven't really tried any others, the first few minutes of black flag on XO and I knew it was an awful port, never bothered iwth the later games. So.....3 was the only one I have a desire to "keep going into", and since I can run it at 4k now pretty easily....might be worth checking out.

Fall Steam sale time! Time to whittle the Wishlist and get caught up on some of the older titles we been putting off.

My grabs for this sale:
  • Wolfenstein: The Old Blood $6.60 (more nasty Nazi first-person shooter)
  • Riptide GP2 $3.50 (beat on XB1, just to have on PC)
  • Ryse: Son of Rome $5 (same as above)
  • Pinball FX2 - Balls of Glory $3.40 (good discount on some tables with license I'm not thrilled about)
TOTAL: $18.46

Things I thought about, but passed on:
  • FORCED SHOWDOWN - Drone Invasion DLC (not cheap enough, and not sure I love FS enough)
  • Far Cry Primal (really like this game, but beat it on XB1 and waiting for deeper price cut)
  • Fable Anniversary (never played the first Fable - maybe someday)
  • Pinball FX2 - Marvel's Women of Power (only 10% off? Played the demo, one table great, one table annoying)

Anyone else?

In between checking prices, I found this site cheaper on some steam games, I cant insert the link but if you google cdkeys its the first link. Managed to get Mad Max and Alien Isolation (with some DLC) a lot cheaper than on Steam. You get emailed a key and put that into steam and voila.

I have witch 3 on gog, but I might buy the got version on steam. Still haven't played the dlc. It's about what those 2 packs cost together. Tons of cap on my wishlist on sale. I think I might just put most of it on there to clean up my list.

More rocksmith songs of course. I've spent probably 1k on songs. What a racket.

Picked up Far Cry 3 and Dishonored (original) for $9 total. Have already played/completed both on Xbox but really enjoyed both games and will enjoy a second play on PC.

I'm playing Fable Anniversary right now. I finally got around too it. I loved it on Xbox 360. And the PC version is much better from a graphics standpoint. I'm really enjoying it again. I have so many unplayed games in my library, I don't know what I'm grabbing this year. If Rise of the Tomb Raider drops to $19.99 or lower in the Holiday Sale, I'll definitely snag that one.

You'll probably end up like me, you'll get to the endgame and quit. I can't be bothered to raid anymore. Too time consuming, and usually too much drama. But the journey there is pretty fun

If you find a good group of people like I did when I was playing it's not so much drama, and it's fun. But, the downside is having basically a second job. You have to show up at a certain time, spend a certain time doing that thing. It's exhausting after a while. Takes too much effort to do the raiding.

Somehow Half life 2 Ep1 and Ep2, Portal 1 and Portal 2 were missing from my collection. Picked all 4 up for $4.14. I feel liked I just stolen all the games from Valve.

I can't stand Portal. I've loved everything on the HL2 engine I've played but Portal is just too annoying. Not my kind of game I guess.
