Thanks guys. Your input was very helpful. I actually expanded the list a bit. And will pull the trigger this evening. I added:
  1. The Bureau: XComm Declassified ($3.99)
  2. Bulletstorm ($4.99)
  3. The Last Remnant ($2.49)
That brings me in for a grand total of 9 games at $62.41. I figure that's less than the cost of 1 new game for a console. So I'm happy with it. Plus I'm really into the superior graphics of my PC right now. That may actually put Enslaved on a serious bubble before I pull the switch tonight. Since I already own it for the Xbox 360. But I saw a few others I may give a shot over it. That I don't have. If anyone has played these 2 and don't like them. Chime in. They are:
  1. Trine 2
  2. Halo Spartan Assault
To clarify, the Xcom games are high-quality, and they have a strong fan-base. I'm just not one for turn-based, at least not anymore. There's a good chance you might like them, many do.

Bulletstorm is a hoot! You'll have to take the juvenile, over-the-top attempt at humor with a grain of salt, and it's about as vulgar as a frat boy on red bull. Something to keep in mind if there's kids or an easily offended SO nearby. But the fast action and fairly clever shooting mechanics are pretty awesome in my book. And plays great on PC with the Xbox controller.

I've only played a bit of Trine 2 - it's a beautiful character-based side-scrolling platform/puzzle game based on switching main characters with different abilities to solve the puzzles. If nothing else, you'll "ohhh" and "ahh" over the lighting effects.

Have fun with your new games barrelbelly!

Does that have achievements or trading cards? If not, I'm not interested lol.

Nah but seriously.

Minor gripe on the trading cards. I like the idea behind it, but really not liking how it is implemented. I feel if I play a game I should have the opportunity to earn a card drop, not have it depend it on how many are out in the wild so to speak. Not that I am playing games for the cards, but it is kind of exciting after you wrap up a gaming session and seeing you have something new in your inventory. Once you hit your limit of 2-3 cards from playing games you are screwed until someone makes a badge. Now the problem with that is you may have to buy what cards you need for a badge, or hopefully get lucky on the ones that drop when you play...

I felt the same way....but xcom enemy unknown is a different breed. It distills out so much of the complication that makes those games a drag. Its pretty easy to get the hang of, and its super addicting and incredibly polished. Its like turn based squad strategy for normal people.

LOL... me too. First the pinball tables, then Van Helsing II, and today's flash sale - ACIV went under $20, so I grabbed that. And then I saw all the DLC for ACIV, so I had to buy all that for an additional $17.

Now I'm holding out for Watch Dogs or Wolfie... but skeptical those will hit a decent sale.

The best part is I justified it on the basis that I need something to play on my brand new 4790K....so I bought lots of 2D indie games.

Van Helsing 2 is my big get for 6 bones after selling cards. There isn't really much else....really. For real. Except Abyss Odyssey which I'm getting to support Atlus and the quirk they bring which I love.

What did you grab BD? I ended up spending $54 for 9 games I always wanted to play on PC. I'll have to refresh my wallet. I only have $15 left in it. I don't like using my credit cards on the internet for stuff like this. So I just buy the cards and try to keep my wallet at $150. I backed off Bulletstorm because it jumped up to $9.99. I'll grab it if it goes back to $4.99 again. I really want ME trilogy for PC on Steam. But only if Bioware ever redoes it like Xbox did with Halo Master Chief collection for XB1. And I can play the whole series with a controller.

Thanks DaverJ. I think I'll start out with Bureau: XComm Declassified this weekend. It should give me a big jolt after my continuing slog through Kingdom of Amalur on Xbox 360. Rarely have I been so sick of a game I love so much. It is really weird. I absolutely love KOA when I play it. But it just can't hold my attention. And it discourages me from starting anything else in my huge backlog (which just grew by 8 games). I may just have to retire KOA without finishing it. Or just scuttle all the rest of the secondary and side quests. I balked hard on Witcher 1 & 2 because I feared they would turn out to be "Time Rippers" like KOA. And I still haven't started Skyrim on my Xbox 360 yet for the same reason.

I backed off Bulletstorm because the price doubled. I'll grab it when it goes on sale again for under $5.00. My grab bag was:
The Witcher: Enhanced Edition 1.99 USD
The Last Remnant 2.49 USD
ENSLAVED: Odyssey to the West Premium Edition ROW 4.99 USD
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified 3.99 USD
The Witcher 2 3.99 USD
Devil May Cry 4 4.99 USD
XCOM: Complete 16.49 USD
Borderlands 2 Game of the Year 15.99 USD
Subtotal:
54.92 USD
Tax:
0.00 USDTotal:
54.92 USD

Added Dragon Age Ultimate and Max Payne 3 today. The Wallet is just about empty for summer games. But I have a problem with XCOM: Complete. As in I bought the game as shown above. But Steam sent XCOM: Unknown to my Library. Did you or anyone else have this problem? And if so, how did you get it corrected? It's never happened to me before.

That's a lot of gaming value you have there! I thought Bulletstorm was a lot of fun once you get the hang of it, and don't mind its ribald humor.

I'm only down about $21 right now. But with more than 900 games on Steam there's nothing that's really a MUST HAVE for me.

Roller Coaster Rampage - $1.99
God Mode - $1.99
Probably Archery - $2.99
Ring Runner: Flight of the Sages - $2.99
Agarest Zero - $6.79
State of Decay: Breakdown DLC - $1.74
Halo: Spartan Assault - $2.49

Total - $20.98

There will be more purchases I'm sure, but I'm waiting for Daily Deals / Flash Sales / Community Choices before I by to make sure I get the lowest price.

This game I am holding off until it goes on sale for $9.99 or less. I'm really not happy with Ubisoft and their PC plans. In this day in age I shouldn't have to worry about if I am team Green or Team red. Games should run good from the get go. Yes, I expect one side or another to have some added benefits if the maker takes advantage of that hardware chipset, but Watch Dogs was so poorly optimized for PC the only thing I am giving Ubisoft is my finger.

Yeah, I don't blame you. They've consistently put out ****** PC ports, they don't deserve my money.

All their games are the same anyway, you played one, you played them all.

Lots of random indie stuff that sounded interesting.....2 bucks here, 3 bucks there. It adds up. The only AAA thing I bought was the bioshock infinite season pass for $10.

I really wish Zen Studios would allow us to combine our 360 Pinball FX 2 purchases with the PC version somehow. I'd love to get all the tables again on PC, but even with the steam sale that is another $68 to get them all!

It's stuff like this that makes me want to sell all my consoles. Sure I'll miss out on a few exclusives, but I'll never have my content locked away on a dead platform in a few years time.

I've spent about $25

Dont Starve+ DLC
Risk of Rain
Pac Man super deluxe extra fantastic edition, whatever it's called.
Walking Dead season 2

Skyrim Legendary is calling my name, but I just can't. I know I'm going to not like it, like all the other elder scrolls.
It's very pretty though.

Friend activity is one of the main things I look at. Always find games I'm not aware of, and also find out what the DLC for rocksmith is every week without having to search. Some of my rocksmith friends buy the new one every week.

Part of it was my faulty thinking that Xbox Arcade Live titles would carry over onto the next generation. Really out of all of them that is the game I wanted most to carry over. Hoping the power of the cloud makes it so down the road.

The further we get into this "gen" the happier I am with my PC and Wii U. I'm a Sony Pony most days of the week but they have yet to drop a game I MUST HAVE.
