The thing that caught my eye as 'Braid' included in a bundle if one spent more than ~$5.80. I'm not familiar with the company however.

Homefront is still too expensive. When it hits $10 I might buy. Dead Space 2 was $10 over the weekend on GMG.

XBOX Live: Wagmman
PSN: Wagg
BFBC2: Wagman
Steam: Wag

My Second Life character looks and acts exactly like me except he can fly.

Homefront isn't worth $10 lol. For maybe $5. I had 10 friends all buy it and we maybe put in 10 hours total time.

Blasting brown notes for 10 years and counting!

I guess I missed the Need for Speed Bundle special - it's...sit down now....$119.78. REALLY. I was horrified when I went to the Impulse site and saw that it was Gamestop. Then after searching, I found I was COMPLETELY justified.

From 25-75% off.
http://www.beamdog.com/

At TS-what did you hear that soured you on Impulse? I strongly dislike Gamestop as a company, due to how they treat their customers, but I have not heard of any problems with Impulse directly. I figure if I only buy from them when they have a game on special, it makes up for the times that they have been less than fair with me.

I picked up Battlefield 2 Complete from them yesterday for $15. I thought I got a pretty good deal. I'm more worried about BF2 being published by EA then I am about buying it from Impulse.

No problems from Impulse here either. Don't care much for Gamestop, but just can't pass up some of the deals no matter who the online service is. So far I have Steam, Impulse, and Origin on my pc's.

Anyway, here is Battlefield 3 for $45.86 after coupon code TECHBARG15:

Thanks Hawkwing. I'm going to wait and see what they end up doing about bots in BF3 (I don't like playing on line).

Impulse is having a Labor day sale.

The Crysis bundle will be 60% off tomorrow (Saturday) and the Dead Space bundle will be 70% off on Sunday.

Impulse is also having deals on The Sims (I didn't pay attention to the deals there).

I had bought a few things from Impulse in the past prior to them being acquired. Just based on Gamestop's business practices, I really don't want to give them my money.

I can totally understand and respect that stance. Gamestop just isn't a customer advocate and they theoretically have a loyal and rabid fan base that they take advantage of, instead of embracing them.

Fan base? I don't associate Gamestop with loyal fans. There are possibly a few out there but what they do have is a finger on the pulse of the newbie and non-gamer who purchases for their gaming relative/friend/significant other. If you go into a store staffed by savvy employees who tote the company line the number they do on an unsuspecting patron borders on a work of art. It'd be funnier really if it wasn't so sad.

Direct2Drive offers downloads of the 2K Bundle for Windows (pictured) for $79.99. Coupon code "RETAIL15" cuts it to $67.99. That's $3.40 per game, $477 off, and the lowest price we could find for such a bundle. This pack includes Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Duke Nukem Forever, MLB 2K11, NBA 2K11, Sid Meier's Civilization V, and more.
Of note, Direct2Drive also offers downloads of the Besthesda Bundle for Windows for $67.49 before the above coupon, $57.37 after. That's $9.56 per game, $133 off, and another price low. This pack includes Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition, and more.

I was shopping around the web to find Dead Island for cheap since I missed the pre-order deal on D2D with the 15% off. Found this deal on RFD. Had 1$ in my GMG account so it costed me 32$

Didn't want to pick the game yet but for 30$, I picked it up to play coop with my brother

I'm not going to buy Dead Island until we get PC reviews. A little concerned the game will just be a poor console port.

XBOX Live: Wagmman
PSN: Wagg
BFBC2: Wagman
Steam: Wag

Gametrailers review is up, and it looks like Dead Island is Dead Boring. Biggest issue for me is the emphasis on melee....haven't they gotten the newsletters? MELEE COMBAT IN FIRST PERSON IS A GUARANTEED FAIL.

Looks more like an MMO than a First Person/Third Person action game (which they always alluded it would be, but the first person perspective to me seems like this game was designed for 3rd person...like its broken somehow)......also, de-emphasis on gunplay basically kills this game for me. The gun combat in the trailer showed all of 1 firearm, and they said its really more about melee......so sad.

Running around exchanging hammers for oars for baseball bats for sticks for tent poles for.....ugh, slash, slash, slash...and you have stamina so the review said you wind up taking a few whacks, then jumping on a car and using your "kicking power" which doesn't drain stamina....Oh brother....

I can see myself playing this game like Splinter Cell....exploring the island while trying to avoid combat at all costs....bleh.

If the reviews aren't up today, I'll probably get 1 hour to play it tonight. I'll try to give you my take on the game.

For the firearms, I think there will be some since one of the 4 selectable character is a firearm specialist (with blunt, throwing and sharp item specialist)...

I'll probably spend more time exploring the island alone when I won't be playing coop with my brother and his friends.

Steam offers downloads of eight games of Kane & Lynch and Hitman for Windows for $17.75. That's $53 off and the lowest price we could find for these games if purchased separately elsewhere. Ha! Dead Island released initially on Steam was the wrong version! They released an unplayable version of the 360 code as the PC version (or some such nonsense). I'm glad I stayed away from this one...

Best Buy cut prices on several games for Windows, as listed below. Shipping adds $2.99, or choose in-store pickup. Even with shipping, many titles are at or near the lowest total prices we could find. Some best bets (note that some may only be available for pickup):
BioShock 2 for Windows (pictured) for $9.99
Wolfenstein for Windows for $14.99
Prototype for Windows for $14.99
EverQuest II: Sentinel's Fate Collector's Edition for Windows for $19.99

Dave, I believe you have to sign up for Logitech's newsletter and you will get the 50% off offer.

Some quotes from the forum:
"I registered with 3 email addresses and I haven't gotten anything yet, checked my spam folders too. Does it take awhile? I could really use a code...

I have several wireless keyboard / mouse combos home and office, 2 speaker sets, harmony remote, squeezebox duet, squeezebox touch and this is just what I currently own. It took me an email and a reply to a member of their e-commerce team to get this coupon code which came in tonight. Not sure how they figure who gets what but I never actually registered an of my product which may have had something to do with getting skipped."

"I registered 2 weeks ago and got one
Just placed an order for the Z906 with wireless adapter. Total comes out to be $217.49 (CA tax and shipping included). Pretty bad reviews but eh, for $220 they can't be that bad. Anyone with the Z906 have any productive opinions?
PS. 50% OFF IS OFF OF RETAIL PRICE... z906 are on sale but 50% is off of retail $399....."

"I sign up 3 emails by registering a random product on the last 50% off coupon. I just got the email too but I just got a 50% off coupon for 1 email."

Also this warning: "WARNING : If you get an error at the checkout after hitting SUBMIT, don't reattempt your order. I did this twice and finally called, only to find that 3 orders went in with only the first giving me a discount. Its almost impossible for them to cancel an order once it has been initiated. The confirmation e-mail takes several hours per the CSR..."
