Yeah I thought I was the only one. The maps to seem have lost their charm and getting boring. I even think BFBC2 had better maps that had more strategy and stuff to do. I hope the BF2 map remakes will bring back some of those old good memories I had.

I feel the same , BFBC2 had better maps IMO. I might even like the ones in MoH:Af'gan ones better.

The maps are pure garbage other than firestorm and caspian. They are the only 2 I like. Though I will admit that with 20 friends all playing on one team, it's pretty fun no matter what map you're on.

It's a shame the a10 is only in rush and not conquest large. I also hope future dlc or changes will add some air to ground bombs.

Love sports, movies, and games. Slowly some day I'll add a projector and screen. Until then, I'll build up my library.

The solo campaign is getting better since I passed that ridiculous part. So far the other missions are pretty decent even though I still feel that you have to do something pre-designed far too much.

The lighting on this game is the best I've ever seen. And I absolutely love the smooth animation. I wish the upcoming Aliens game used this engine.

Just finished MW3's campaign on PS3, the graphic are not on par with BF3 (I'm playing it on high). I'll compare both campaign when I'm done playing BF's.

Tried 10 minutes of MW3 online.. nope, staying with BF3

With MW3 and BF3 maxed out, honestly, MW3 looks over-all better (more consistent) even though BF3 has some aspects that are far superior to anything seen in MW3 (explosions/lighting).

To me the audio in BF3 is superior to MW3, but then I have not played both on my more revealing 7.3 HT system, just on my 5.3 media room system.

I played MW3 on ps3 so it's pretty normal that BF3 graphic on the BF3 are superior. For the sound aspect, I'm playing BF3 on my PC's stereo speaker... compared to my HT with my PS3 for MW3. Even with the PC's speakers, BF3 sound is amazing... I can only imagine playing it on my 5.1 system

I was thinking about trying MW3 or BF3 on PC...which is superior graphically ?
I really like COD2 CTf and didnt like any other COD game except the first modern warfare. What do you guys think ?

What are your computer specs? BF3 is graphically superior but requires a newer PC to run decently. Game play wise I prefer BF3 when ppls r working as a team that is. COD MW3 is my choice, when I want a quick game to play. Its pretty much the same game as all the other CODs. BF3 brings a brand new graphic engine and some other new toys to play with. So BF3 if your PC can handle it.

I am pretty sure BF3 is a Dx11 (Dx10.1) game only (????) if so your 8800GT is not able to support Dx11

Back To Karkland map pack can't get here soon enough. I fired up the game last night and had a hard time playin a whole round. This is coming from a die hard bf fan. Either I am getting too old for these games or something just isnt there anymore and died with BF2.

Plus BF3 doesn't support XP. So you're SOL until you upgrade.

I'm playing with an 8800gt on low settings. It looks pretty good and I am getting good frame rates. However, as the guys have said you need Vista or Windows 7, as BF3 will not work with XP.

I have been playing COD MW3.. k u can stop laughing now. I will get back to BF3 eventually. I think BFBC 2 I was the same way took awhile to warm up to the game. Once all the newbs and non team players move onto another game I will start playing more. I overwhelmed myself with too many titles so I am constantly going from one to the other. Maybe back in BF2 days there wasn't anything else to play. Its too bad we don't have AVS servers to play on make getting us altogether to play a lot easier. Don't mind me I'm an old timer rambling..just walk away lol

What do you all do in-game in BF3 usually? Going for flags? Piloting? Defending? Do you always focus on winning and helping the team or will any of you admit you sometimes go off and complete some "highly important personal tasks" [like spending 45 minutes sniping the enemy base you can't capture, etc].

The update came today... just started playing, and it still likes to crash on me (A little worse actually), I think I tried to play it around 3 times, each time crashing mid game.

For me, I actually love supporting the team. In enjoy throwing out that ammo, or laying mines and taking out vehicles or spotting for the team. I've killed all manner of pilots, flares and no flares, I'll get'em. I typically play conquest with some rush, which is funny because I was a big team deathmatch fan in BBC2. The one class I haven't played yet, except in the beta, is the sniper class. Boy, snipers drive me crazy! I'll go out of my way to knife those guys.

I always go for the Victory

So I'm going for the flags playing conquest. Rushing the objective in rush.

I play Engineer and Assault so I don't wait and snipe, might have done it twice so far.

I like playing with my friends and brother.Teamwork helps so much in this game. Just need to get a mic to make communication easier.

I finished the campaign (Hard difficulty) and thankfully no area was as ridiculous as that one bridge stage I complained about earlier. Eventually you get into the style of this ultra-corridor shooter and can have some good fun with it.

The graphics continued to be stellar throughout, and the action scenes actually got better in the last few stages. Still, overall the game steered you way too much. Maybe it's the blue markers telling you where to run to instead of you figuring that out on your own, or maybe its your team mates telling you what strats to use instead of you choosing them yourself ("Go upstairs and flank them to the right!"). All games are scripted to some extent, but this was too much. The QTEs never felt organic to the game play either.

I tried the co-op and have to say I like what I saw. It feels like you can approach an attack scene in several ways, and on Hard the difficulty is just right. I'll give vs. mode a try in the next few days.

I had some crappy games last night...joined a server with max 16 (or 24)... well, the other team was controlling ALL the objective and my teamate were all just flying around in jets

We horribly lost, I was the only one on land capping flags.... Still managed to get MVP#2 doing it

Next game... it was 8 vs 4 and guess where were my teamates.... I left quickly after.

At least I had time to train my Helicopter skills, getting better I also made the best kill ever, I wish I add Fraps running. I was in my helicopter, shoot one heli down with heat-seeking missiles. I'm losing control of my Heli so I jump out.... my Heli goes by crashing on an ennemy further on the map that I couldn't see Roadkill bonus

Usually just a tag along on this site as there is great info here- but do we have a list of all the AVS people with their names on Origin- I am "facetman" in origin/BF3. I think it would be a great to create a new thread for origin names. steam names, or maybe a sticky so when we play we can look for each other and join up. I did not real all post so if this is already done - sorry for the double

Damn guys...so I've been trying to play some BF3 here and there and am just getting absolutely waxed every game. It's waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy different than COD which has been my bread and butter for my gaming needs for several years now. I keep trying to dropshot people and it's just not working; scratch that...none of my COD tactics are working. I don't even have working knowledge of how to even create my classes yet and what classes do what (other than the medic which is self explanatory). I think the best game I had I went 12-12 but all my other games are way worse than that. I'm mostly playing on Infantry Only servers just cause right now I don't really have any interest in flying jets or driving tanks, ect. I'm going to keep playing here and there and trying to pick this up because in general I've always been pretty good at gaming. I know it'll just take time; and sacrifice on my part (to put down MW3). But one thing I've noticed so far in this game...is that I get sniped a lot. But it's different than getting sniped in COD...in the sense that snipers and really snipers and not quickscopers. So, that's been really frustrating. Welp...that's my rant for the day. If you guys feel like carrying me and helping me learn the game plz add me on Steam my handle is OmfgItzThaMack. Thnx.

"OmfgItzThaMack" on XBL, Steam, & Origin...

Try assault with the m4126 omfg, and ya you gotta level up your guns to get scopes and forgrips and stuff to make them more accurate. Burst fire only ever only nothing else.
