TyrantII had a good idea for this kind of thread, so here's one for this forum. Which five PC games are you most looking forward to in 2012?

- Counter Strike GO!... the only FPS that has a chance to dent my roughly 30 hours a month of Team Fortress 2 play.

- Kingdoms of Amalur: The Reckoning... this action based solo RPG looks like my style of game.

- Guild Wars 2... I put 1,200+ hours into the GW1's PvP mode alone. Now that my favorite profession the Mesmer is confirmed, there's no doubt I will get this game on day one.

- Aliens: Colonial Marines... it's been almost 25 years, but will we FINALLY have the ultimate game based on the Alien movie franchise? So far so good in previews I've seen.

- Torchlight 2... I don't have the obvious grandaddy Diablo 3 here because A} pad support doesn't look to be in it, and B} I'm a bit turned off that an auction house will be allowed for non-cosmetic items. In the end I might not care too much about B if A is rectified. Either way, I loved TL1 and have no doubt that the co-op sequel will scratch my dungeon spelunking itch just fine.

Footnote... add Half-Life 3 to the list (replacing almost anything) if it is announced and comes out in 2012.

Los Angeles Lakers - 16 NBA Championships!

I have three EA action/adventures sitting on my HDD waiting to be played: Dead Space, Mass Effect 2 (never played the first), and Dead Space 2. I plan to play them in that order, but every time I launch Steam for some PC gaming I tend to just fire up TF2 instead.

~~~
I plan to wait on user reviews of GTV before taking a chance. No game this generation got more undeserved high scores from the pro reviewers than GTIV, and I won't be fooled again.
Keep in mind that GT3: VC is one of my all time favorite solo games, and I live in Los Angeles where GTV is based. My hopes are up, but we'll see.
GTA V (I'll assume that it will be released this year)
BioShock Infinite
Aliens: Colonial Marines
Max Payne 3
Alan Wake
A rather trite list, but that's what I look forward to most.
GTA V
Mass Effect 3
I want Arma 3 to be amazing but I just don't have the faith! lol
Bioshock is a console port, I'm sure it will be a bad one at that. Though I like the first one a lot but the second one was balls.
Max Payne 3 but again, it's gonna be a console port.
Blasting brown notes for 10 years and counting!
I completely forgot about the Tomb Raider reboot. I can't get enough of the Tomb Raider franchise.
I don't really want to think about my most anticipated games of 2012. You know why? Cause I won't be playing them until sometime in 2013 or 2014.
When they're $5 or less, heh...
So give us your most anticipated games of 2010.
As for mine, I don't really have any. I've been playing so much Skyrim, NHL12, and Rocksmith that i haven't even been looking at games for 2012. I guess I'm looking forward to GTAV, and ME3 for PC gaming. And of course NHL13 for 360.
Pretty fun to see the difference between my most anticipated games in here and on the PS3's forum
For me :
#1-Diablo 3 hands down!
Others in no order:
-Torchlight 2 (especially if D3 comes late)
-Mass Effect 3
-Kingdom of Alamur : The Reckoning
-The new X-Com game (the turn based one, not the FPS!)
Then I guess you will never be able to play Diablo 3 till Diablo 4 comes out. This one won't hit that $5 mark anytime soon.
1. Bioshock Infinite - The funny thing is, by the time this game is released, I'll finally have finished the first one. I don't have a problem with skipping Bioshock 2, although I wish I could try Minerva's Den....
2. The Last Guardian - Eh.... ok, sorry, this is PS3 only. I'll still rank it here just to show it the proper respect.
3. Far Cry 3 - looks like it's right up my alley.
4. Prey 2 - This will be on PC right?
5. Tomb Raider - I love my action/adventure games. Especially with the new gritty vibe
6. Resistance: Burning Skies - This game is actually for the PS Vita, but I have to show some respect. Man... I wish I could afford a Vita, but I think I'm gonna have to wait for the eventual price drop. But man, I'd love to play some of this.
7. Sly Cooper : Thieves in Time - It's just a shame that Sucker Punch isn't doing the game themselves. Yeah, I know, it's not PC... kill me
8. GTA V - We won't see this on PC till 2013.... if then.
9. Halo 4 - Personally, I seriously doubt that this game is coming out in 2012, and if it does, I'm sure it will be very rushed, and the single player campaign will be very short. But, just in case I'm proven wrong...
10. Metro: The Last Light - These guys know how to make killer graphics, hopefully this time the game is just a bit more user friendly..
Honerable Mentions: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Darkness II, Max Payne 3, Luigi's Mansion 2 (3DS), Wipeout 2048 (Vita), Fifa Soccer (Vita), X-Com, etc, etc
GTA V even though I've preferred the SR games since they debuted.
Max Payne 3 because I want to see what a slob he's become since 2.
Torchlight 2 because the first was awesome and I got it for next to nothing on some steam sale.
Diablo III because I loved the second one and I can play dungeon crawlers all day.
Bioshock Infinite because Kevin Levine has something masterful up his sleeve and I can't wait to pay to see.
Oh, and we might as well forget about Half Life (episode) 3. I predict we'll never see that game. Even if we do I can't see it living up to the hype surrounding it. They seem to make the wait more agonizing with the release of games set in the HL universe that aren't HL3 lol. Arghh!
So many games to play, but mostly sequels, which is cool!
Still loving BF3 and CIV 5, so those games keep me company until something catches my eye.
Now that Mass Effect requires Origin, scratch that off my list.
1. GW2
2. GW2
3. GW2
4. GW2
5. GW2
Let's hope GW2 doesn't disappoint.
