Nice man. I don't think my cards can touch that. nVidia does so awesome with high tessellation like in Heaven. I will run it in a little bit.

Here is the 3Dmark11 score I posted in my build thread. http://3dmark.com/3dm11/2665453

Here is my Cinebench CPU score. 10.09

So...dude...you know I'm new to this PC stuff...how does my benchmark look? Good? Real good? Just Ok? Could be better?

I'm still learning how this stuff works.

You have to compare your results to similar machines. Once you've been doing this stuff for a while, you'll eventually will not give a flying crap about any benchmark, just as long as it plays your games, you'll be happy.

Run that same benchmark and see how we compare cause I know we have the same cards right? And as far as OCing by i5 goes all I did was increase my multiplyer, OC my Ram a bit...and enable this other setting in my BIOS that supposed to be enabled for any OC over 4GHz (I forgot what it was called) and tested stable in both Intel Burn Test and Prime95. The thing I think I wasn't doing right before was OCing my Ram and because of that my boot ups kept getting hung up - where it would start up, shut down, and start back up again. Also wanted to ask you...do you get any screen tearing with your setup cause that's something I've been experiencing now that I can easily get 80-100fps on BF3 unless I enable VSync which I hate doing considering....

Looks good.

I removed my because I was using Ver 2 of the Bench, I didn't want to DL 2.5 so I removed the post since it does not compare to what you posted.

As long as you can play ur game at the level and performance that you want then that is all that matters, as N8 said

I have v-sync on in every game. 100 fps is moot, as long as it's near 60 (give or take) you'll not be able to tell the difference.

here are guys with 1 card : http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2209593

here are some more : http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1634430

Your scores are fine, pretty good actually. Now you got to just enjoy your games

I'll have to check those out when I get home...on the mobile app right now. I just bought Crysis 2 and downloaded the DX11 and high resolution texture patches just to see what that game is all about. Anyone play that? Anyone up for BF3 tonight?

Using your settings above and not messing with any of the sliders, here are my numbers from the log:

This is a single GTX 580 running at 915Mhz and an i7 running at 4.8Ghz.

17:01:53 Benchmark finished
17:01:53 Time: 259.617
17:01:53 Frames: 8525
17:01:53 FPS: 32.8368
17:01:53 Min FPS: 14.2323
17:01:53 Max FPS: 79.0919
17:01:53 Scores: 827.16

Note this is with Ambient Occlusion turned on, with that turned off I pick up a ton of frames. But even so I wouldn't play this game this way, extreme tesselation is part of the problem and 8x AA is just brutal overkill. no AA in this demo doesn't look that bad. 2x is almost free on a 580 but doesn't add much visually, 4xaa is the sweet spot but I could live without it and I really do not like AO in this game, it "pops in" during the sweeping...look to the corners of walls and stuff, suddenly "boom" this shadowing appears there.

This is also using the newest Nvidia drivers released a few days ago.

UPDATE:
This is what I get when i drop to 4xaa (I can't see a difference) and disabled the AO (which I find crappy as hell in this demo, I just don't like the implementation of it here, AO has a long way to go before it starts looking good, I feel the same way about its implementation in Skyrim too, why I leave it off).

17:13:01 Time: 259.557
17:13:01 Frames: 14151
17:13:01 FPS: 54.5198
17:13:01 Min FPS: 13.6684
17:13:01 Max FPS: 149.641
17:13:01 Scores: 1373.35

This is a much, much better more fluid experience, this would be a playable game to me...when frames approach a sustained 50 they become pretty crisp...below 45 or so I'm sensing that "30fps feel" to the images....maybe thats just me.
