Ok I want to upgrade my gpu for my gaming pc. I have a motherboard that supports pci express (two slots). The new gtx 550 ti card is pci express 2.0, can I run this card with my motherboard or would I need to upgrade that as well. I appologize if this is a dumb question, I've been out of the pc thing for awhile....

PCIe 2.0 cards should be backwards compatible with a PCIe 1.0 slot. Just make sure that its an x16 slot (as x1 and x4 slots are physically smaller and will not fit most video cards)
