I'm using the settings on this post:

http://www.overclock.net/t/1257538/microcenter-now-carrying-the-27-2560x1440-korean-ips-monitors/250#post_17389912

The second color profile, with the settings:
Quote:
Have Eco on Standard, Brightness 80, Contrast 50, DCR OFF, and '6500k' white point color setting.

I created a profile using this method, and it is attached below. To use it you must match the above settings mentioned (from a factory reset) in addition to changing the color temp from 6500k to 'USER'. Then set your color values to the following:

RED 100
GREEN 85
BLUE 73

Again, leaving DCR OFF and ECO STANDARD with default Brightness/Contrast.

Although you might want to try this for lower brightness:

I think I like game mode on and user mode with 100%. I tried the setting he's got and it dosent look as nice as my old gate way. The gate way monitor really has an amazing picture. This monitor is nice to tho I like it its a little bigger and has the better ressulution. With the ips and the led I thought it would have a better picture

do some research! have a look around and make sure your really happy with what you choose.

As far as gaming go, its really hard to go past benq panels. One of the few brands that specifically design everything about their monitor for gamers. In particular this one, http://gaming-monitors.com/products/benq-xl2420t-professional-gaming-monitor/, is the best of the best right now for gaming.

If your looking for CAD/gfx work you prolly want one focusing on colours and max size. But for games = benq.

Problem with the Benq monitors, for me, is they only use TN panels. 1080p is the max, besides the other downsides. But they have fantastic refresh rates, if thats what you want.

Why do you not like the new monitor? I've been considering the Asus myself. But it just has too many cons in reviews that I'm not sure I can settle for. LED does not make a better picture. The only benefit to LED is smaller size and less power consumption.

We need cheap OLED monitors already.
