I've been putting a lot of time into practicing mouse and keyboard and have improved to the point that I can finish in the top 5 or top 10 in most of the BF1 games I've played on PC. It's beginning to feel more natural although nowhere near as natural as the controller feels. At this point I feel comfortable using m+k for FPS games but still use controller for things like Tomb Raider or GTA-V.

On a side note I find BF1 to be much better on PC than on XBone as it runs at a solid 60fps at medium settings on my 750Ti.

Just played through the third act of Gears 4. Those Battlefield 1 pics are amazing, but Gears also looks amazing to me. So much so, that I actually stopped a few times and just looked around. This one scene where it is very windy has so much going on in the foreground and background in terms of trees swaying, debris flying around, etc. It's a sight to behold. I'm loving this game so much - it's really so satisfying using the sniper gun to cap the bad guys. I can't wait to play again tonight. I'll be definitely playing it over again once I'm done as it's got lots of replay value, IMHO.

The choice is easy for me, I don't have a 144hz panel. I play on a 60hz projector so most games I just cap the framerate at 60 then downsample the higher resolution while keeping the framerate at 60.

If you have a 1440p 144hz monitor the choice might be more difficult.

I saw Owlboy on the Steam front page and took a look at it. For some reason that game grabbed me. If you're into the pixel graphic boom we're in right now, this game has some of the most beautiful pixel art I've seen in a game. It's really well done on every aspect.

I spent the day ripping through that game.

Late to the party... just picked up Battlefield 1, played through the first SP mission, the presentation is impressive (some of the best visual and audio ever).

Still debating if I get Titanfall 2 myself. I bought the first one but stopped playing it pretty quick. Something about origin launcher puts me off. Im still playing battlefield but.

I'm playing the single-player on PS4, and liking it a lot. Very linear and I would guess somewhat short-ish (haven't finished yet), but a great smooth engine w/ nice visuals, well-designed and balanced.

If not full price, at least jump on it on sale.

I know Walmart was selling Titanfall 2 the other day for $30, not sure if it's still going on or if it includes the PC version.

As for me, Playing Planet Coaster (the true successor to RollerCoaster Tycoon, not RCT World.) And also playing Dishonored 2

CD Keys has Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor for $5.19 today. Also has Dishonored 2 for $39. Picked up Mordor. Not sure about Dishonored 2. Due to PC port problems I may wait to see if I can get it at a bigger discount.

I enjoyed the 2013 reboot of the franchise, and this installment feels like more of the same. Which is a good thing.

Hadn't touched my XBone for a couple of weeks until yesterday. I had a couple of minutes before leaving for Thanksgiving dinner and started Battlefield 1 on the XBone. WOW. After only playing BF1 on PC for the past couple of weeks the performance difference was obvious. I noticed that the FPS would drop in busy sections of the map and overall the game felt a lot less fluid.

I just saw on neogaf there's a big update to No Man's Sky coming. I wasn't one that fell for this game, so I'll be waiting to see the feedback, maybe I'll get it eventually.

I was interested in the game but all the negative reports kept me away. It's a title I would buy if it was on sale for $10-$15.

I didn't pay attention on the time I logged on, but I've been in queue for that site for at least a half hour. You go to the site and then sit in a queue before you can get in.

Yea must be a Black Friday thing. Never had to wait before. I just pulled up a tab and let it sit there while I did other stuff. It chimed when it was ready for me to get into the site. I own Fallout 4 on Xbone but for $17 I may have to jump on the deal.

I haven't found anything on cdkeys that's any better than normal.

Edit : Far Cry 4 for $9 but it's uplay, won't do it.

Just finished Gears 4. Man that was a fun ride! Not a lot of innovation relative to the others and it was a bit short and easy on the normal setting, but there were definitely some really neat sections that stood out for me. In particular,

Spoiler!

Ok, now I can continue with the latest Tomb Raider. That game is also so good.
