Picked up this https://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...82E16814487259 [EVGA GTX 1070 FTW) bad boy over the weekend (delivery on 2/15). It came with a code for either For Honor or Ghost Recon Wildlands. I played the beta for both but don't know which one I want to get. I think I may get more mileage out of For Honor.

Guess it's a good dilemma to have.

I'll throw my vote in for GRW. I'm not really into PVP much, so For Honor holds no interest. But playing GRW co-op looks like it'll be fun

And I just now finally 100%'d Metal Gear Solid 5. Took 98 hours lol but finally got it.

I would go with Ghost Recon Wildlands.. For Honor looks like it would get old fast.

Port of the PS4 title, a few minor bugs, hopefully fixed in a patch. Bugs aside, having a good time with the game.

Fans of the Devil May Cry series or Bayonetta will definitely like this game.

I'm play some wacky faced Mass Effect Andromeda.
It is a REALLY bad start to the game.. but i'm about 5 hours in and i'm coming to terms with the game. The faces are still really off putting.
But the HRD and 4k are real nice (PC real 4k )

I was looking at maybe picking up NeiR.. but.. it looks a bit janky and doesn't look like i could play it in 4k (even with the bland textures and grafix)
Maybe i'll try it if they patch it up.

Nier on Xbox 360 was one of my top 10 games of that generation. But I'm not sure about this sequel, because it is all about robots & androids...and not people. I am all in on Mass Effect Andromeda right now and loving it. The nits of animation don't bother me at all. Plus I'm certain they will be fixed via a patch before the year is out. After ME-A, my next one is PREY (the reboot). I almost grabbed that one before ME-A. So I'll wait until the price drops on it over the summer. Otherwise I'll just be jumping back and forth between those two without fully appreciating either. Nier is a 2018 buy for me. I need to hear some serious feedback on it.

ME:Andromeda I'll be getting when it goes cheap. Not in a rush to play that game right now. Nier looks interesting, but another title I'll wait for a price break to drop. Waiting for Injustice 2. I wish that game was a play Anywhere game, but the boy wants it os X1 and with two X1's in the house we can each battle in different rooms or couch! Besides I imagine you can pick it up on sale much faster on PC anyways

Don't sleep on the "Prey" Redux. It looks like the sleeper in the whole bunch to me. I bet that original Prey would be out of the park weird in VR. I also hope some game house finishes the original Prey 2 by Human Head Studios and just name it something else. It looked really Kick-A!

Still playing Andromeda. Bout 33 hours in and 40% completion according to my save. Still have a bunch to do as well. One thing I like is that when you "finish" the story on a planet, you don't just ignore it, some side quests take you back to it and you can see the changes when you go back sometimes to see how it's progressing with the colony.

No, ~500 years later, different main character(s) and setup. Although some very minor references to the trilogy, as far as I can tell.

But if you liked the previous 3 games, it should feel familiar. If you didn't like any Mass Effect, than best to probably stay clear.

Started playing Bayonetta. I'll see if I can grab some screen shots, but I had to use a hack from WSGF (Wide Screen Gaming Forum) to get it to play correctly on 2560x1080. Even though it was showing the correct resolution in the game.

I use a benq w1070 sometimes. Usually when I'm playing Rocksmith so it's routed through my HT. Other wise I stick to my x34 monitor. It was my main display before I got the x34, and still is for my Xbox and ps4.

Been there, done that. It's wonderful!

The issue you might need look into is that the older JVC might not have very good input lag numbers. You should look into that and see if it is appropriate for gaming.

Gaming on a projector this the best! I've been doing it for years and will never go back to a monitor.

I looked up the game and I'm getting it tonight for sure. I'm assuming the fix you downloaded was the HUD fix that was linked on the WSGF? Where did you put the file?

I believe it was. It was a Bayonette.exe file that I downloaded and just dropped it in my Bayonetta folder under the steam directory. I copy and pasted the original Bayonetta.exe onto my desktop in case the one I downloaded didn't work. I had no problems with it and the 21:9 resolution works just fine. ON a side note I am getting severe drops in Frames like other people have experienced. I believe it's not due to the .exe and it's not usually during gameplay. It's tolerable for now, but still weird it happens. Supposedly if you download the cracked copy of the game it does not have the issue which many people speculate it has something to do with the steam.dll files and it's use of the overlay.

Played Bayonetta last night. It's a pretty frantic action game. I'm using an xbox 360 wireless controller and it works flawlessly with this game. I'll post my thoughts as I get further into the game, but it's lots of fun so far.

Dude, does it play ok? I've got a 970 but I'd only be planning on running it in 1080p. If it runs great with minimal glitches I may end up spending the time in getting it up and running.

Edit: I'm actually playing a game called "Oceanhorn" on my Shield Tablet and running it on my 55" screen. For a tablet game, the graphics are pretty amazing. I mention this because it is a shameless Zelda knockoff. But not that it's a bad thing - the game is actually quite good.
