I have to wait for the mailman to walk my Bioshock from CA to MD.

Almost finished the Bioshock wannabe, Dishonored. Got through the obligatory "lose all your sh**, level."
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Having not read a single thing about this game, I knew the betrayal was coming from the start, as well as the lose your sh** level. I was trying to figure out which was going to be the culprit. I couldn't decide between the 3 guys. Then wouldn't you know it, all three of them were jackasses.

Game devs need to come up with a new thing that doesn't involve me losing all my gear.

I've been reading that medium difficulty on Bioshock Infinite is pretty easy:http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/03/25/bioshock-infinite-hard-difficulty/

I might try starting on hard - something I almost never do. That is, IF the setting can be dropped down if I want to wimp out.

Sub-1080p/60fps is not next-gen.

Played 2 hours of Infinite so far, my god is it fun. Definitely play on Hard, it's just the right challenge, only died once so far, meleeing a Fireman, took the dude with me when I died though.. Short break to get some cool air into my room, then back to playing and recording.

Yep, new 314.22 driver helped a whole bunch...

Maxed out minus TressFx because it looks ridiculous.

Finished Dishonored, finally.

Bioshock doesn't arrive until Friday frown.gif

I need an idea one what I should start next. Here's my list:

Hitman Absolution
Spec Ops
Mafia 2
Just Cause 2
Far Cry 2
Witcher 2
Mass Effect 3
Kingdoms of Amalur
Among a bunch of other indie games I haven't touched.
Then I have a few games I have played but haven't finished, that I will someday...

Rage
Driver San Fran, I think that one is pretty much on the last level, if you can call it a level
Darksiders 2, very near the end I believe
Dark Souls, about 75% of the story done

Lot of sanbox games in that list.

Of those, I would say kingdoms of alamar is my fav if you don't mind a long, single-player fetch quest game. I loved it and wasted way too much time on the 360 version and I don't think I made it even near the end. For reference, I'm not a big Elder Scrolls guy.

Hitman Absolution has some unique gameplay. Spec Ops is familiar military shooter with an interesting moral twist, and Mass Effect 3 is pretty awesome, but not quite as 2. Witcher 2 never clicked with me, but I might not have given it enough chance. Just Cause 2 is dumb fun.

In fact, if you've played through ME2, then I was say jump on ME3 next if you lower expectations for the ending.

1. Neither am I. I don't like Bethesda RPGs.

2. This is why I haven't started it. I think ME1 was better then 2 actually. Story, and gameplay. Ignoring the repetitive planet farming. I love the atmosphere though. I didn't like the end of 2 compared to the first.

I forgot Sleeping Dogs too.

I was leaning to Hitman, I figured that one might be a quick finisher.

Bioshock! I need to restart on Medium or Hard mode. Easy is a total cake walk. So far the only time I've died is by falling off the edge. I'm guessing parachutes did not exsist in 1912 or else this game would have been even easier. smile.gif
Does anyone know the procedure to redeem the game stop season pass for the PC? I've already installed and registered the main game with steam. But the reciept says to redeem the code with gamestop app. Did I screw up already?

You don't need to restart - just go into options and change difficulty.

I took PC Gamer's suggestion and started on Hard. I must suck, because I was dying over and over - not fun. I switched to medium, and have only died a couple times. I must be getting old. tongue.gif

Just completed Bioshock Infinite to the very end credits. 17 hours and now I need brain bleach to get rid of this uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach. What a fun ride.

Finished Bioshock Infinite and the new Tomb Raider over the weekend. Both were worth every penny. Don't backlog these two gems.

Regarding Bioshock Infinite, how long does the horrible first section of the game last?

I admit I only played for about 30 minutes or so but it did nothing to make me want to keep playing.

And does it really look that bad through the whole game?

Tomb Raider on the other hand is incredible, very similar to Uncharted in many ways and so much fun.

Thanks,
Jason

I've been suggesting Tomb Raider to people who've never gotten around to playing either the Uncharted games or the Batman games. It's the perfect mix of the two as far as I'm concerned.

Just started playing Bioshock Infinite a few days ago, but I think I need a short break after TR. So far it certainly feels like a Bioshock game.

Bioshock Infinite is in my opinion easily the best in the series. I'm not sure how much to say without spoiling anything, but the happy, sunny, all is well in paradise, first section quickly gives way to an immense feeling of dread as you progress. Speaking of dread, I need to finish The Walking Dead game series one of these days.

Tomb Raider is mind blowing in 3D, but as luck would have it, I spent most of the game playing at night which kind of sucked.

I never liked Nathan Drake from Uncharted as a character. A stone cold, sociopathic, hipster, killing machine with lame jokes just didn't sell it to me. He struck me as a bad combo of Chuck Norris and Jerry Lewis. Lara Croft is better, and she has boobies too!

I personally liked the look of Bioshock Infinite, and thought it fit well with the theme. The story is fantastic (at least as much as I can figure out.)

Got Crysis 3 for cheap the other day. Still waiting for the 650 ti boost to arrive before I really dig in to the campaign, but the multiplayer is surprisngly good. It's hard to describe, but it has a much better "feel" than the last two (at 60fps at least). The biggest issue I'm having so far is that it takes really long to unlock attachments for the guns, and everyone who does already have them has a considerable advantage over those who don't. But it's definitely not your average throwaway MP add-on, its pretty well designed overall.

Crysis 3 has a more realistic but IMHO boring look, a good shooter but not much to talk about in the looks department.
Bioshock Infinite blows the socks off Crysis 3 in the art style department. I can't stop thinking about what I just played through. Unfortunatly It's impossible to talk about without spoiling anything.
I missed a few audio logs. Need another playthrough.
After that the new Tomb Raider is next on my list of going to plays.

Oh for sure. I mean you could almost go as far as to say Crysis doesn't even have an art style, its intention is to be as realistic as possible. And almost no one else can touch them there.

I do think its generally underrated as a game and too often treated as nothing more than an empty graphical showcase. No one does the wide open but linear playstyle nearly as well, the suit powers are like nothing else, and the AI is excellent. Crysis 1 nailed jungle warfare, 2 was a completely unique take on urban warfare, and 3 brings it all together by bringing the jungle to NYC.

Anything can play Crysis 3 at 60fps if you drop the resolution far enough. tongue.gif

Besides, I'm locked to max 720p anyway to play in 3D. Runs it at a butter smooth 60fps on medium (which has the visual quality of like every other game's ultra setting.)

Man you and I have similar back logs.... I finished Max Payne 3, I really enjoyed it. I can't believe the first one came out in 2001. Makes me feel old. I'm gonna finish Battefield 3 and Walking Dead next. Not sure where to go from there. I'm tempted to get Bioshock infinite or tomb raider, but I have so many games to finish already it would be dumb....which means I'll buy them by the end of the week.

Not sure what happened to my post. Anyway. I was did say. That's an amazing feat for such a low priced card. If I didn't own my current ring I would have gotten the 660Ti sale I saw for only $200. But I tend to buy fast and regret later eek.gif

If I didn't own a Titan. I would have jumped on the deal I had found. 660ti for $200. Was a great deal. Even had a 680 for $300

Yep, when it comes down to it, all a higher priced card gets you is a higher resolution and higher settings. A $150 video card isn't anything to sneeze at. It also plays bioshock infinite on high at 1600x900 at 60fps.
