Howdy gents, I'm new here (again).  Not new to PC's or gaming, but coming back to this site after a loooong absence.


Gunner, you're doing exactly what I did when I built my first PC: learning as much as you can online.  I've built dozens of rigs now, including the monstrosity in my profile pic... and I'm an idiot, lol.  Seriously, if I can do this so can you.  It really is not that difficult, and the few speed bumps you'll run into are always good learning experiences.  As long as you make sure your parts are compatible (using a good website like pcpartpicker will help), are cognizant of static electricity and are careful to line your CPU up correctly... you will be fine; AND garner a great deal more satisfaction from your build.


That said, the decision is yours.  The suggestions I've read from others have all be good.  I have friends that have purchased from ibuypower &Tigerdirect; both reputable sites.
