I have been looking at the evga 670 superclocked 4gb but would rather not pay 430 bucks if I can find something sweet for a little cheaper.

I'm running two EVGA FTW GTX 670 in SLI to a Panasonic plasma (non-3D) and they work great! My cards only have 2GB of VRAM which is plenty for single-monitor gaming at 1080p. If you plan to play heavily modded Skyrim, the 4GB model may be worth it but otherwise go with the cheaper model.

I figure I'll wait to upgrade my GPU sometime next year when the true next-gen games start to hit the market.

Good choice! I'm sure you can run BF3 with Ultra settings at a nice framerate with that card and the 3GB VRAM will last you a good while.

The 660 TI is about as low as I would have gone (for current gaming) and a good choice on the 3GB model for not much more $, I am already considering selling my 2GB gtx680oc to get the 4GB version (I run multiple displays and 3D).

Best of luck,
Jason

Isn't Nvidia rumored to release the 700 series soon? Or are they just rebadges, because we don't need no stinking rebadges!

Well if they are coming soon a 780 (110) 5GB for under $600 would be very nice indeed.

I don't think you'll gain much unless you would want to jump up to the $400 770. The 760 ti is still on 104.

The 8000/700 series cards are all just rebadged 7000/600 cards. You are waiting for no reason. New silicon isn't coming until the next-next refresh.

Not quite. The 780 is the Titan LE with 5gb of VRAM, the 770 is a 4gb card, and the 760Ti is a rebadged 2gb 670. So really only 1 card is a true rebadging. Now the 8000s idk yet, haven't seen a press release on them yet, just that they're coming, and the OEM models are rebadges.

+1

There's nothing 'rebadge' about that 780, that actually sounds like it's going to be THE single card solution for those not wishing to invest in a Titan (most of the performance for 60% of the price).

Yeah the 780 sounds mighty tempting! I just got a 2nd 670 card to run SLI so I'm good for now, but I can't help wonder how soon it will be before games start demanding more than 2GB of VRAM at 1080p resolution.

Hoping I can hold out till next summer and upgrade to the 800-series, preferably a card with 6GB of VRAM.

That being the case, just wait till next summer for a price drop and pick up a 780 5gb, for cheap-ish. It's close enough, or maybe by then the Titan itself will be cheaper.
