Engadget Story

It's nice to have unlimited funds to be able to do stuff like this. Apparently AMD had to write specialized drivers to get this config working properly. Also, they couldn't run the 3-Crossfire setup for more than a few minutes at a time at full load without it conking out (that's what happens when you skimp on the PSU AMD!).

DO WANT! lol

Guess I'll have to contact AMD or nVidia to build me a rig when I win the lotto or something.

Glad to see someone with some smarts and pick up nearly full sized displays and not these pansy-ass twenty-somethings everyone keeps using. tongue.gif

Wow... That guy is definitely doing it right. Cannot wait for 4K gaming. Personally, I have not experienced it yet, but the future is here ladies and gentlemen!

This is just a colossal waste...this is like spending another grand on video cards back in the day to bump your Crysis scores by like 10fps

The side panels in a surround rig are almost always wasted.....your peripheral vision can't resolve details like that, its primarily motion based, and when all that is happening on either side of you involves post-processed and motion-blurred movement......get a 4K primary and a pair of 1080p side panels and you'll get largely the same effect. Except of course that you can't scale the displays that way I don't think.....*sigh*......
