Hello everybody,
I'm just started to build my first HTPC.
My first intention did not include video card in this budget build but now i'm tempeted to buy one.
The question is which one? smile.gif

The build so far is:
GA-Z77N-WIFI
BITFENIX PRODIGY MINIITX CASE BLCK
CRUCIAL 8GB 4X2 D3 1600 DIMM CL9
INTEL BOX INTEL CORE-I3-3245
CORSAIR CX500 500W
Noctua NH-U9B SE2 92mm SSO CPU Cooler

Hmm... that seems to be quite the budget build. What's your budget on the card? There are still some decent cards for around $150. I know Newegg sent me an email today they have a 2gb Radeon HD6950 for I think $159 right now.

Sounds perfect! I don't know what is the best option regarding the PSU..
otherwise 150$ is pritty much acceptable:)

I ran my 6870 and a higher powered CPU off a 530w PSU, so that 500 should be fine, I doubt even under full load your comp would draw 500w. What you're going to find though is that CPU will end up holding you back if you start really trying to game on this thing :P
