Hey guys I'm having a problem with my home theater PC set up. Every time sound plays on my computer right before the sound plays like a YouTube video by get a message on Facebook there is a crackle or pop that comes from my speakers. It is also the same when I minimize games or open new tabs. This does not happen through my receiver when I am on the radio or playing a movie from a Blu-ray player. I tested the Blu-ray player today. Could it be because I have a cheap HDMI cable could that cause this problem?
I have my computer running HDMI through my receiver to my monitor. I'm currently running my audio off my GeForce 660 video card.

Any help would greatly be appreciated

I'd suspect a defect in your computer software or hardware rather than the cable.

Make sure you have up-to-date video and audio drivers. Nvidia recently released v331.82.

Try to minimize HDMI state conversions. AVR Audio Guard seems to help with this: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1317491/silent-stream-bug
